Real cute, but I'll second the Hendrix nomination. Besides, the Hendrix
version is the only one representave of a war. I think we should change it
to America The Beautiful. Watch a hockey game with an American and a
Canadian team. The Canadian anthem is much more representative of a people
who love their country. Ours is kinda like, "Yeah, given the chance we'll
blow the crap out of you." It also worships the flag, when we should be
worshiping the country.

Nawh, then *anyone* would be able to sing it...

Now *why* would I want to do *that*?

I don't have a problem with that... Teaches the rest of the world to
respect their betters...

These girls really sing great. This is not self understood. Neither is,
creating this sound in this acoustic environment.
Everyone having done this knows what it means to get everything "on
stage", and make it work.

<pssshhhhhtchrk - negative on the copy, you are coming through broken and
stupid, over>
You know, the use of the word "worship" by you (or anyone else in fairness)
in this instance is very telling.
Your interpretation of the anthem is also illuminating.
Your assertion that "the Hendrix version is the only one reprehensive of a
war" is unintelligible at best.
You don't salute the officer, you salute the corps, rank and uniform.
You don't "worship" the flag, you show it respect;
The respect earned for it (paid for in full) by many good people making and
keeping not only the USA and folks like you free and safe, but also the
known universe, at least as free as it can be.

Ah... It is just a bit ... "gravitational"
I loved the Italian anthem, at times when Agostini one the motorcycle
Grand Prix. But is was nothing compared to the sound of the 3 cylinder
500 cc.

Is that South America the beautiful ? Central America the Beautiful ?
or the Middle Chunk of North America the Beautiful ? I'm confused.
You're right about the hockey game though. I saw a game from Ottawa
Canada (against the Islanders?) A cop with big pipes sings the Canadian
anthem and blows the roof off the place.

I was at a Major Junior hockey game last night. Edmonton Oil Kings vs.
Tri-City Americans (from somewhere in Washington. Apparently Tri-
Cities is Kennewick and 2 other places I've never heard of.). They had
a girl of about 12 come to sing the anthems and she nailed them about
as good as those in the video.
What was most interesting was how many people sang along with her to
both anthems.
