Hey - i live in St Lucia - don't know much about The Marigot. But I
know most of the better diving is around the Soufriere area (about
40/50 mins drive by car). I know there are some dive sites around the
north of the island, but don't know much about them I'm afraid.
Let me know if you have any further questions about St Lucia

i think that is the one we stayed at a number of years ago. if i am
thinking correctly, it was a timeshare exchange. we liked it, there were
good restaurants nearby. we rented a car (that's an experience for us
americans) and drove all over. i used Fair Helen Divers and loved them.
the diving was pretty good.

I was in St. Lucia last year, stayed at the St. Lucian by Rex (Reduit Beach
area). The hotel was nice, beach was beautiful, lots of restaurants nearby.
I thought the diving was very good-I dove with Dive Fair Helen,
knowledgeable divemasters, who pointed out photo opportunities but did not
hold your hand. Plenty of bottom time, I dove the Anse La Raye wall,
Beehive, Pinnacles, Coral Gardens, Virgin Cove and Lesleen M wreck. Lots of
small to medium size marine life, nice coral. Not a lot of big guys,
although I did get up close to a sea turtle. The operation did sort of run
on island time, so an early pick up at the hotel did not necessarily mean an
early start to diving-but who cares, I worry about the clock most of the
rest of the year! I think the Marigot Beach resort is in the same area as
Dive Fair Helen's shop, and the area was really beautiful. I imagine they do
the same dive sites, probably less travel time since you're staying nearer
the main dive sites.
