I will be at Capt. Don's Habitat on Bonaire from Mon evening Jan. 5 through Thurs morning Jan. 15 for diving and motorcycle riding with Bikers Bonaire.

If anyone wants to get together to bend an elbow (sic) or go for a motorcycle ride, e-mail me at the address below before Monday, or ask for me at Capt. Don's or the Harley Shop while I'm there.

Happy New Year.

I'm leaving the 4th so count me out.  The conditions are a bit rough
(for Bonaire) but easily diveable - just a bit of swell that makes
getting back up the stairs on the dock tougher than it could be.  Got
a nice fire coral hit on the hand when I scraped up against a dock
piling this morning - ya gotta love the "no gloves" rule.  f.ckers.

New Years was a good time - did the party at Buddy Dive.  Tonight we
dive the Town Pier.  Bring bug spray.  It's very buggy, especially at
Habitat.  You might also want to bring food.  The next container ship
doesn't arrive until 1/8 so we've already been told we're having to
ration.

Have a good time.

Yeah, I had read that you were leaving before I get. I told Jack Chalk (the
manager) his wife Karen, and Walt Stark - an instructor - to say hi to you
for me.

As to the gloves, I register a "medical condition" with their marine park
board whenever I buy my medallion and I wear them. They do let you wear "a
glove" when coming up a line or on a wreck.

I stayed there in July. I'm supposed to go out for dinner with the female
bartender there when I come down next week, but I can't remember her name
:-(

I'm glad you said that - I wasn't going to bring much with me.

I eat at the local places - mostly goat and conch - they don't have to be
shipped in. Besides, I need to lose weight anyway.

Where are you getting the Internet connection, BTW? I only know of one place
there and it is a bit expensive.

And the same to you.

But then again, what do I know?
