Full length handrails seem to be pretty standard on the boats I use most
often, but I don't recall seeing them combined with fin friendly steps.
The best ladder I've ever seen was no ladder at all. As I recall, it was on
the Minnow, out of West Palm. The dive platform, when deployed, was just
below the surface, allowing the diver to move up onto it with minimal effort
no matter what the seas were like.

The ladder on the Wahoo is the only one I've seen like that.

Awesome for recreational diving, not so good with doubles and deco
tanks. I fondly remember easily getting back on that boat in 8 ft seas
with thunderstorms when we had the Thanksgiving get-together.
