One of the best links I've seen for understanding guns.

On several occasions, we've pointed out that almost everything that's been
said against guns comes directly from those most ignorant and fearful of
them. What we have not done very well, until now, is direct those that are
ignorant to information that can help them understand and see the error of
their ways.

For those that would cure their ignorance, here's a good place to do it.
This website is designed primarily for women, but, in most respects is
excellent for men or women that would like to know more and understand
better. Perhaps it will change your mind. Perhaps it won't. Either way,
you'll come away with more knowledge and a better understanding and that's a
step in the right direction.

I encourage everyone, gun lover or hater, believer or not, to take a look.

None of us give a sh.t.  Take your podium somewhere where people
care.  This is a scuba forum.

I'll remember the next time that you go OT, Greg.

In the meantime, I had just heard this one yesterday and got a chuckle
out of it:

"Guns don't kill people, people kill people,
...and monkeys do too (if they have a gun)."

- Eddie Izzard

Now the semi-OT part of this is a NEDesque challenge:  adapt this joke
to a traditional Scuba mantra.

Good, please try.  It's pretty rare, if ever, that I start an OT
thread.  If I do so lapse, please correct me.

Greg hates it when you prove him wrong.

personal opinion is that gun control sucks."

Ignorance at its finest and deliberate as well.

Yeah, but he's used to it.

wrong, plenty of us care, and plenty here post off topic threads -
probably more off topic than on topic

Maybe that's why there's only 4 or 5 of "plenty here" left.  Just a
thought.
