I've been diagnosed for about 10 years with type 2 and after looking
around here I thought I'd ask if anyone ever got this really under
control. Since I've been taking insulin it's like a bloody
rollercoaster.ThanksStephenwww.net-diabetics.com

My mom had type 2.  All I can say is do whatever you can to control the
things you have control over -- weight, food, exercise, etc.  Since I don't
know you, I'm just speaking in generalities.  Many people assume they can
continue to live their lives the way they want and just use insulin to make
up the difference, much like eating whatever you want and taking Lipitor to
lower your cholesterol.

Talk to your doctor and see if there is anything you can do with regard to
lifestyle to either get off the insulin, or to get better control of how
much and when you take it.

Good luck.

This is a scuba group not health group. How much do you weigh and how much exercise
do you do?
