Matthias Voss - 22 Oct 2007 10:33 GMT Hi, has anybody been in this hotel? Recommended? Are there good anglophone diving operators, where divers are not lead throught the reefs like cattle, by ten, stacked in groups of 2x5?
Which ones to avoid?
What about OONAS divers, Red Sea diving college?
TIA, Matthias

pugetsounddiver@gmail.com - 23 Oct 2007 14:56 GMT > > Ping me offline, my boss just got back from Sharm. > > Why offline? Are actual scuba discussions off-limits here? I know you don't understand this or care, but when it comes to putting out specific information on a public forum concerning where military and off duty military servicemen are diving and training, yes.
I also know you don't understand this or care, but there are "people" and "groups" there in the middle east that are bent on killing Americans, just any Americans, and especially those who might be serving their nation in the war against Islamic Fascism (which, in spite of your best efforts, we are winning).
You know, the same Americans fighting, killing and sacrificing for your freedom and safety?
The same freedom you shamelessly abuse from your podium of partisan bigotry and angst to undermine their efforts, endanger them and offer aid, comfort and support to their enemies?
So, if you want to know where to stay away from, ping me offline.

Sure, I understand. You can only give out this top secret information via e-mail to foreigners from a country we were at war with a mere 62 years ago.
Does bullshit still smell in Washington? I remember when I used to have to drive out to our satellite office in Duvall - if I took a certain side road to avoid traffic on the main arterial, I'd pass by a place that sold fermented cow manure. Your post reminds me of this.
Do you think Matthias will glean any useful information on diving in Sharm if your boss was only diving in restricted top secret areas?

Of course. And we all know you, with your years of dedicated service, are on the front lines directing our efforts against terrorism by withholding potentially useful information about dive sites from the general public. You are my hero.

I have no desire to head to the middle east even though my last name isn't a Jewish one and I could probably pass without being unduly molested. It's all a big fly-infested shithole and I've heard the diving isn't worth it. I would like to dive in Malaysia, but I'm boycotting them as well.
Still, proper usenet protocol dictates that you post this stuff here so that everyone reading rec.scuba can know where to stay away from.

Matthias Voss - 23 Oct 2007 21:39 GMT You do by far not realize how right Scott is in this issue. Not only with respect to visitors to Sharm he referred to, but also concerning the one I asked for.
It reminds me of times when I was not allowed to drive to the GDR to Berlin.

When they carelessly expose the same good people who provide and protect their freedom to danger, they can always just blame it on Bush.

The world would be a better place without self serving, lying, backstabbing parasites like you in it.
Have a great day.

Scotty, you should be ashamed. Telling publicly that one of your fellow citizens should be a victim of a terrorist attack in reality shows your support for terrorism - shame on you!

What do you expect from a guy who only "served his country" so he could brag about serving his country?

All the time you have at least one police officer in the "spitting" distance. Unfortunately security measures were not so tight in Dahab. That's why I said That Sharm is one of the safest places in the Middle East.

Plus, if I had done it your way I would have denied Greg the chance to show his a.s again.

Besides, I though you like watching my a.s, not watching my squirm.

Which works great if someone uses a valid email address or one that they routinely check as their USENET email address... That is not always the case though, so sometimes you need to send them a message on the one medium that you know that they do read (i.e. the newsgroup)... I don't think that Greg uses his main email account for newsgroup communications, but he does check it periodically...

Used these guys both times I have been to Sharm. 4 to a guide.

More info is only on one of Russian web pages and it seems that the hotel is one of the oldest in Sharm (from 1995) and they don't accept credit cards. If I were you I would keep keep out of them.
