My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Belize.  Supposedly we have a
free place to stay with use of a speedboat and a plane.  She has some
wealthy relatives down there.

Anyway, any tips as to where to dive?  Who to dive with?  Best times of the
year to go?  Water temps and wet suit thickness?

Thanks.

You lucky SoB.

> Anyway, any tips as to where to dive?

Yes, but then that will depend on where you are staying.

Yes but then that will depend on where you will be staying.

Yes.  :^)  Best time of year to go is in the spring.

I have no idea where the house is, but with a boat and a plane I assume we
can go pretty much anywhere we want.  Life's a bitch. :-)

True enough, however, to get any advice from me that will mean a darn thing,
I'm going to need a few more details from you.

These rich relatives . . do they live on Ambergris Caye, have their own
island, share an island with de Caprio (Blackadore Caye), or are they down
at Placencia hanging with Francis Ford Coppola.  Maybe they are golfers and
have a place at Caye Chapel?

It's not exactly a big country, but there's a lot to see both on land
and offshore.  Rivers that lead to Mayan ruins and not much diving, and
cayes with lots of diving and not ruins.  From Ambergris Caye to the
Blue Hole is about 2-3 hours depending on conditions.  From southern
cayes its a lot longer.

So you need to find out where in Belize you're going to be. Then we can
help you.
