mag3 - 03 Aug 2007 01:50 GMT OK folks, as promised, I now have an official booking for the Sun Dancer II, Belize, set for Memorial Day Weekend, 05/24/2008 departure. I requested and booked a stateroom with the "single supplement" as promised. Unfortunately, the weekends in February and/or March which I requested were already booked.
That done, my 2008 Florida schedule will change slightly in conjunction with some other things going on. It actually means more time in Florida in 2008, but I may not be able to get to the FFK's for as much time as I'd have wanted to if I get there at all.
Hence the new 2008 Florida schedule:
1) 01/12 - 01/19 (in Bradenton/Sarasota) 2) 03/15 - 03/23 ( " " " " " " ) {This is the Christian "Holy Week"} 3) 06/23 - 06/28 ( potentially split between Bradenton/Sarasota and the FFK's) (also potentially One week later - 06/28 - 07/05)
The days above include both the arrival and departure days so I probably can't dive after 10am on the day before departure day.
So hopefully I will see all the So. FL. rec.scubans (or whomever is there).
Or perhaps you will join me on the Sun Dancer II!
But no stateroom sharing!!! ;-PPP

Curtis - 03 Aug 2007 03:02 GMT > Hence the new 2008 Florida schedule: Wow, I can't even think that far ahead, much less plan, as far as recreational stuff goes.
You will I hope send reminders, last I remember, we have some dive plans.
Tonight I'm making more immediate plans, not diving this weekend.
Tomorrow is a day of reflection and enjoyment, my day, a day in past recent years I've spent diving.
Saturday is a day of celebration, reflecting on the best decision I've made in my adult life, 26 years ago.
Both will be well spent with my better half.
Play nice.

Like I said, "you ain't seen nothin' yet!"
Seriously, the week in January is going to be fixed yearly as that's the annual visit to Dad for his birthday. The week in June is when I *was* going to go back to the FFK's for a repeat of this year's diving there, but I may not have as much time there as originally planned.
And the remainder of the time I'll be taking care of some other personal things going on. Beyond that, nothing else is officially "planned" - just thinking about it. :-)
> You will I hope send reminders, last I remember, we have some dive >plans. Absolutely. If things go well in September, I might even have purchased the backplate from Scott and be configured/trimmed for it.

Our liveaboard trips are usually set up a year or more in advance. We tend to book flights for those trips as early as the airline will permit (330 days in advance).
Quite a contrast to my business travel, which is sometimes set up one day in advance.
We haven't had a decent trip in a while. Our February trip to Belize had to be canceled due to Tina's broken ankle. I'll talk to Tina about joining you.

Some of my planning also involves finances so I have to do things when financially optimal as well. But of course, the sooner the better chance to get what I want.
