The reality that a majority of U.S. Senators, including three
Republicans, would have voted to recall the troops?  The reality that
Bush and his war are at an all-time popularity low.  The reality that
the war will end up costing the U.S. over a trillion dollars, when
we're supposedly so broke we're going to have to discontinue Social
Security benefits for the elderly at some point?  The reality that
Bush now threatens to veto an increase in children's health insurance
benefits funded by an increased cigarette tax?

The reality that Al Qaeda is reported to be as strong or stronger
today than it was on 9/11?

I don't think it's the Democrats that are separated from reality here.

where did I hear this -

"Blaming guns for deaths is like Rosie O'Donnell blaming her fork
because she is fat."

I think I heard it on Penn and Teller.

So if I showed up trick-or-treating at your door wearing my Rosie
O'Donnell suit, would you shoot me?  Strike that, you probably have
your Akitas trained to attack anything looking like Rosie.  Maybe I'll
wear my Michael Moore suit instead.

I wouldn't shoot you dressed like Rosie or Michael.  But I wouldn't be
very happy about it - :-)

I would be laughing too hard.... OTOH, either suit would make you too
big a target to miss :-)
