The temp at 70 is 80. There are no boats in the water.
Viz is about 5 ft (okay, not sure if that's a good or a bad). Unless
you're divig dry with a FFM gamma globulin is not a bad idea, along
with about two weeks of doxycycline.

That's pretty warm for Travis... Where was the thermoclime?

Well, 5 ft visibility is better than Lake Houston on a *good* day...
I guess all that rain we've been having has made for crappy visibility
up there... On the other hand, I suspect that the Guadalupe would be
quite a bit more interesting going down than the last time I was up
there... It's supposedly at 2220 cu-ft/sec right now... Last time I
was up there, it was probably around 50-100... Very slow and lots of
walking around shallow spots... Probably a good adrenaline rush right
now... <evil-grin>

What's that? Some people were reporting a break of about 3 degrees at
around 85. But that's not exactly what I'd call a thermocline.

Some of the docks at Town Lake are underwater.
LCRA has said that anyone on the lakes in a boat is looking at a $200
fine.

Well, normally it is where it goes from 85 to 60 in a couple of
feet...

Isn't there some sort of navigable waterway rule that they would be
violating by that?

The dams keep it from being navigable. Someone in Pisces checked on
this a few weeks ago. When the Corps built the dams, they ceded
control to the state.
We had some canoeists go through the spillways at Town Lake Tuesday.
They rented the canoe, were from out of town and didn't know the lake
was closed and the dam open. They survived unscathed. The folks they
rented from a) didn't know it was closed 2) didn't provide any sort of
floatation devices. I can just smell lawsuits and fines.
