It's amazing that these sites are so stupid that they think that
everyone will have (or even *want* to have) Flash installed on their
machine...

The webmasters are smart enough to realize that the luddite fringe is
to small to worry about.

If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure.

Luddite?  Assuming that you are using the definition of "one who is
opposed to especially technological change" from Merriam-Webster, I
would have to disagree with you... It's not technological change per
se that I disagree with, it's just change for the sake of change...
Change that opens you up to more security holes and abuse doesn't sit
that well with me either... I was on a machine yesterday that
unfortunately had Flash installed upon it... I was on a website (CNN
or whatever) and it had some advertising on a right side banner
area... My mouse pointer starts acting weird and the machine slowed
down considerably... I cussed it a bit and then uninstalled Flash...
OK, it's *possible* that my cussing it out got its attention and it
straightened up its act, but I really suspect it was the fact that I
got rid of Flash...

That would have been a lot funnier if it wasn't so deep and technical.
