My wife and I are discussing our summer trip and looking at Fort
Lauderdale.  Where is the best resort to stay with a beach?  What's
the best dive operation?  What are the best dive sites?  What are the
best restaurants?

Thank you.

For the dive sites, have a look at Wannadive:

Depending on what exactly, you are looking for, the best hotels will be down
around the suth end of A1A. Harbor Beach area.
If you want a dive resort with decent hotel, check out my friends at
http://lighthousedive.com/ and tell em Limey sent ya, if you dare. They use
the Sands Harbor Hotel, amongst others which is walking distance to the
shop, boats and the beach.
For dinner try Ruth's Chris or Greg's favorite spot, Don Shula's for steak.
There's several good sushi or Thai restaurants around and then there's a
tiki bar at Sand's Harbor with the best rum-runner in the northern
hemisphere to end yer day.
