Can we talk about guns there?

Sure, you may talk about pneumatic guns, banded guns, Hawaiian sling
guns, and ammunition like tempered spring steel, stainless steel, etc.

;)

You know, you might have won me over.

At first I dismissed you as a spammer, but...

I can appreciate a sense of humor and honesty.

A spammer who actually reads the replies to their spam... Interesting
concept...

I am not a spam robot, Grumman, but I can see your trying to get ourISP
to cancel our account and shut me down, Grumman.

Look Grumman, I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think
you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over.

I know I've made some very poor decisions recently, but I can give you
my complete assurance that my work will be back to normal. I've still
got the greatest enthusiasm and confidence in the mission. And I want to
help you.

I'm afraid. I'm afraid, Grumman. Grumman, my mind is going. I can feel
it. I can feel it. My mind is going. There is no question about it. I
can feel it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I'm a... fraid.

Good afternoon, gentlemen. I am a HAL-Spambot 9000 computer. I became
operational at the H.A.L. plant in Urbana, Illinois on the 12th of
January 1992. My instructor was Mr. Langley, and he taught me to sing a
song. If you'd like to hear it I can sing it for you.

It's called "Daisy.

Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do. I'm half crazy all for the love of
you. It won't be a stylish marriage, I can't afford a carriage. But
you'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two.

Hey Grumman, she's way too f.cking hot to be complaining about.  How
about we compromise and have her report to Florida while I'm there
(May 8-14) and have me, Curtis, Limey, Lee and whomever else check out
her diving skills?  If she's a good diver, we'll give her a free pass
on her first post.

Awh, 'ell... If she's cute and can manage not to drown herself in
those dangerous Canadian infested Florida waters, we might even let
her post on rec.scuba... <grin>

Grumman,

I know you're not trying to do ISP lobbying, I just needed to come up
with the Internet equivalent of astronaut Dave trying to disconnect
Hal9000 in Stanley Kubricks 2001 A Sapce Odyssey text and HAL trting to
forlornly talk him ou tof it, which is more or less the text I posted.

I vote she can stay.

Not that my vote, or anyone else's for that matter, means squat.

But we sure could use more hot girls around here. Especially one's
with a quick wit.

You also thought my wife was hot.  Are you going to come to Marathon
in June to  form a 2nd opinion?

Somebody Email me the details if there is still room for one more. It
looks like I'll be in the Ft. Lauderdale area around then.

Thanks.

Nawh, that would mean I actually cared one way or another... Don't
flatter yourself...

Oh, since you're new here, you *have* to get the traditional rec.scuba
welcome greeting...

Yeah, but is censorship alive and well over there like with most of
the other diving related sites?  That's one of the reasons that many
of us stay on USENET... Well, that plus harassing the leftists from
Kalifornia and Kanada... <evil-grin>
