More guns - that's the answer

Little Sally is in day care.  Jonnie brought his dads gun wrapped in his
napping blanket.  Jonnie unwrapped the blanket and pointed the weapon at the
other toddlers in a threatening manner.  What should be done?  Answer:  The
other toddlers should have guns of their own.  Jonnies threat should be met
with equal or greater force in order to preserve the power equilibrium in
day care.

Bill goes to high school with his 22 rifle so he can hunt after school.
Other kids see the gun and become afraid.  What should be done?  Each
student should be allowed to carry the weapon of choice.  With all the
violence at school these days it is recommended that each student pack a
high caliber weapon with cop-killer or better quality ammo.  Ammo should be
able to penetrate steel and cement block to take out a shooter that may be
behind a wall or other sturdy object.

It goes without example that each man and woman of legal age should carry
one assault rifle, one or preferably two pistols, and plenty of ammunition.
The streets are a dangerous place.  Everybody packing will increase safety
and result in public good.

Mable made it to retirement.  She is losing capacity and the kids have her
in a care facility.  The problem is that she is not provided immediate care
by the attendants every time she demands attention.  Solution:  Mable needs
a 357 magnum to get the attention of orderlies.  That will be the last time
her high-calorie, cold treat, will be soft when it is served.  And that old
bastard that suffers from Alzheimer's will be in for an awakening when he
mistakenly rolls his wheelchair into Mable's room.

It is hard to imagine any situation where more guns is not the correct
answer.  If you can think of one, just one, you are wrong!

This message is brought to you by Scott & Lee's Gun Emporium, the NRA, and
all true believers in the Second Amendment.  We fight for your rights
because you don't have the guns to do it yourself.  Lock and load!

ben bradlee posts a bunch of ignorant lines, including several felonies, and
then claims the ideas are those of Lee, Scott and others.

What should be done.

Perhaps we need a law against ben bradlee's access to a computer.  Much
safer and completely consistent with ben bradlee's ideas on the right way to
do things.

You anti-gun, anti-American, liberals are all alike.  Spew your sh.t about
keeping the second amendment and then cover yourselves in white feathers.
(Doves and chickens have white feathers.)  Scott must be the only real
American left on this group.  He's working hard to make sure there are
plenty of guns in schools - the sure solution to less violence.

You're just afraid he'll get his own coin, and you won't.

It will be a special issue coin called the village idiot.  Fortunately,
after Bob C. fills his pants (with coins) there will still be a coin or two
left for Joe E.  That's the nice thing about the U. S. Mint; they produce an
abundance of coins.  This special issue will be limited to rec.scuba posters
and anyone willing to admit they are related.

Even you know better than that.  Don't let reality get in the way of your
fantasy.

I stand corrected.  The zealous, gun-loving Americans, all stepped back from
their position.  (It seemed so "right" too.)

Scott Koplin is hiding a cache of weapons in some schools?

Nope, it was all talk.  As usual, a few drinks too many and full speed ahead
with the mouth.  The big-gun-totters all weenie out at lock and load.  Not
to worry, there will be plenty more world problems to solve as the hours
pass in desperate lives.

This is one of the gun threads I have actually read.  Ben's original
post was great.  It was imaginative, funny, and well written.

Lee came across as a sourpuss in his reply.

I agree.  I guess humor just isn't funny anymore unless it comes from
the right-wing propaganda mill.

Lee often comes across as a sourpuss.  I don't believe he's easily
amused.

You might be right.  One thing I'm sure of, however, is that the
infringement of my rights is not something I find humorous.

Yet you work for the Bush Administration and participate in their
infringement of rights.

One can only wonder how many lives might have been saved if Cho Seung-Hui
had encountered a responsible citizen with the right to carry on campus.

I suspect that the events of 09/11 would have ended quite differently if a
few responsible citizens had been carrying on the airliners.
