Are You In Christ, and Prayer Language  joel2, ezekiel 38,39.
There may be some controversy in mel gibson's movie the passion of
christ, but one thing is not a controversy and that is being IN
Christ.  If you are you would know it. Its like being hit with
lightning.

In Him was Life: and the Life was the Light of men. John 1:4
Do you know if you are In Christ. It is called being saved being
born again, receiving Jesus. The only way for you to be "In Christ",
is to let Christ be "in you". In other words you need to receive
Jesus as your Lord and savior. When you receive Him into your heart
and believe in Him, He gives you His Life and you become united to
Him.
Just confess that Jesus is your Lord and believe that He rose from
the
dead to make you righteous and you will be saved (Romans 10:9,10).
When you do this, this is some of the things God will make and give
you In Christ!!!!

1. I am a New Creation. 2 Cor. 5:17.
2. I am Delivered. Col. 1:13.
3. I am Righteous. 2 Cor 5:21.
4. I am Sanctified. Heb. 10:14.
5. I have Boldness, Access. Eph. 2:18, 3:12.
6. I have Eternal Life. John 3:36.
7. Always Triumph. 2 Cor. 2:14.
8. Can do all things in Christ. Phil 4:13.
9. Christ, my wisdom. 1 Cor 1:30.
10. Blessed with all Blessings. Eph 1:3.
11. Needs met by God. Phil 4:19.
12. Have Freedom. Rom. 8:2.

With Christ

1. Was Crucified. Galat. 2:20
2. Died. Col. 3:3, Rom 6:3.
3. Was Buried. Rom 6:4, Col 3:12.
4. Was made Alive. Eph. 2:5, Col 2:13.
5. Conquered with Christ. Col 2:15, Heb. 2:14.
6. Was Raised. Ephes. 2:5, Col. 3:1.
7. Was Seated. Ephes.2:6.

How to Receive Your Heavenly Prayer Language

 His Inspirational Gifts:

Manifestation and Church Gift of Divers Kinds of
Tongues...1Corinthians 12:4-11

Mark 16:17...Divers kinds of tongues is supernatural utterance by
the Holy Spirit in languages never learned by the speaker, not
understood by the mind of the speaker, nor necessarily always
understood by the hearer. Speaking with tongues has nothing
whatsoever to do with linguistic ability; it has nothing to do with
the mind or the intellect of man. It is a vocal miracle.
Tongues is primarily a devotional gift
Jesus told his disciples, "After the Holy Ghost has come upon you,
you shall receive power" (Acts 1:8). The evidence of this baptism is
the gifts of the Spirit, with tongues almost invariably coming
first. There are various kinds of tongues. One type-the prayer and
worship language-is for private use and personal edification. It
does not need to be interpreted. In fact, Paul informs us that
although he spoke in tongues more often than all the Corinthians,
when he did, his understanding was unfruitful. He describes his use
of a prayer language as praying "with the spirit" (1 Corinthians
14:14-15). This prayer and worship language is indispensable for
every Spirit-filled Christian.
 Public ministry of tongues
Paul teaches that only a few believers will be used in what we
would call the public ministry of tongues, because he said in 1
Corinthians 12:30, "do all speak with tongues?" Some take that out
of context and say, "Speaking in tongues isn't for everyone. You can
be filled with the Spirit without speaking with tongues." However,
we must remember that Paul is talking about the ministry gift of
tongues, because he began by saying, "And God hath set some in the
church...diversities of tongues" (1 Corinthians 12:28). Then Paul
asked, "Are all apostles?...do all speak with tongues?" The obvious
answer is no. But Paul is talking here about public ministry. We
should not be too concerned about our ministering in tongues and
interpreting. We should be primarily concerned with maintaining
tongues in the place where they principally belong-as a devotional
gift to assist us in the worship of God.

Why should I speak in tongues?

Speaking in tongues is initial evidence of Holy Spirit
baptism...Acts 2:1-4; 10:44-48; 19:1-6.

 Speaks unto God...1 Corinthians 14:2.

 Speaks in mysteries...1 Corinthians 14:2.

 For spiritual edification...1 Corinthians 14:4.

 Build up yourself...Jude 20.

Pray for the unknown--don't know what or how to pray in any
situation...Romans 8:26-27.

Produces rest in our Souls...Isaiah 28:11-12.

Out of your belly shall flow the river of Life...John 7:37-38.

People often ask me why tongues is a common manifestation of
baptism in the Holy Spirit. I tell them that if God is going to rule
us, He must certainly rule our tongues; it is our most unruly
member. Just as we grab a bit to control a horse, God takes hold of
our tongue to assert His control of us.

Another reason He gives the gift of tongues first is to enable us
to build our faith for the appropriation of other spiritual
gifts...How are we to appropriate these gifts? Martin Luther tells
us, "Faith is the arm that reaches out to take the gift God offers."
But our arm of faith is weak and short. So God's first gift is the
only one that edifies the user. With it, we can build up our arm of
faith to appropriate other gifts we may need. That's why when
someone with a great need comes to me, I find myself instinctively
praying in tongues.

Because tongues, above the other gifts, is a worship gift, it
helps us fulfill our primary reason for being: to glorify God and
enjoy Him.

Folks always ask me, "Do I have to speak in tongues to receive the
baptism in the Holy Spirit?" I give them evangelist David
Wilkerson's answer: "You don't have to. You get to. It's part of the
package."

How do I speak in tongues?

Instead of telling people to ask for the gift of tongues, I urge
them, with the words of the apostle Paul, to "stir up the gift of
God which is in you" (2 Timothy 1:6).

 1. You make the sound by furnishing the raw material. God helps
you with the utterance. He helps you shape the sound of your voice
into words. Acts 2:4 says, "And they were all filled with the Holy
Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave
them utterance."

 2. Don't speak words your mind understands. As long as you do,
your mind will remain in control.

 3. Don't listen to yourself. Can you imagine a little child
learning to talk? Does he say, "Ma-ma-ma-ma," and then stop with: "I
can't say that. That's not a language?" No, he just hugs his daddy's
neck and prattles away.

While I do not agree with this off topic post, being a Christian is
nothing I am ashamed of. And yes, I do tell people about Christ. That is
every Christian's responsibility. We are commanded to do this, but in
love. Most people will not receive this message and have a hostile
response. Ever wonder why?
But, like TV, the internet, radio, etc., we all can chose to not listen.
Oh, and when  was the last time you heard of a Christian blowing up
himself and taking others with him.

I am a Christian too.

Bottom line is that as long as Christians feel free to push their ideology,
everyone else is too.

Religion is a personal thing, a way of life that you should live, and
thereby be the bible that most never read.

NO ONE should bring that sh.t here, let alone push it.

If you feel that your duty is to push it, then you have nothing to say to or
about people who push their beliefs with car bombs or mass murder in the
name of their God.

Better yet, walk it, talk it, but dont condemn anyone else for doing the
same thing you feel justified doing.

Religion and mislead believers shoving their idea of their religion up
peoples a.ses will be the undoing of man.

Patch dont make a man, the man makes the patch.

Badge dont make a man, the man makes the badge.

Religion doesnt make the man, man makes the religion.

Stop shoving yours, and then you can bitch.

Show me one spot in the bible where Jesus told you to impose your beliefs on
another, rather than to live your life and show others.

Scott, wait a minute here, he did say he wanted to be "In Christ" but maybe
he meant Jesus, his Gardner. Now, that is still off topic, unless "going

as well.  Yours in Jesus  ;-).

Christianity is a way of life as you say. And it should be lived. "True"
Christians know what the Bible says and read it, know it and live it.

> NO ONE should bring that sh.t here, let alone push it.

Why not? Everything else under the sun has been discussed here. Why not
what "you" believe? As for pushing it, if mentioning it is considered
"pushing", then all real Christians are "pushers". Why let the secular
world corner the market on being "pushers".

> If you feel that your duty is to push it, then you have nothing to say to or
> about people who push their beliefs with car bombs or mass murder in the

Me personally, I believe that everyone has a right to say what they
believe. Everyone, whether I agree or not. They just better be able to
defend their positions if I care to call them on it. And since when has
telling someone about what you believe can now be equated with killing
someone? You do go to the extreme in reaching here.

> Better yet, walk it, talk it, but dont condemn anyone else for doing the
> same thing you feel justified doing.

Oh, I have to. Just as they do. IF you are a Christian, then you do know
what the Bible says about the "other" religions and where they are going
in the end AND what is your RESPONSIBILITY to them the curse and mock you.

> Religion and mislead believers shoving their idea of their religion up
> peoples a.ses will be the undoing of man.

No. Again, if you know your Bible, you will know what is the undoing of
man. And it isn't "religion".

> Patch dont make a man, the man makes the patch.
> Badge dont make a man, the man makes the badge.
> Religion doesnt make the man, man makes the religion.

Religion is a duty. You can religiously clean your car or gun. What I am
talking about is faith that has a concrete basis in verifiable fact. Not
a fairy tale. Not a myth. My faith is based upon historical manuscripts,
archeological evidence, the prophetic accuracey of the Bible (no Jean
Dixon stuff here. Precise, not generalities either), and statistics.
Yep, statistics. What other "religion" can make these claims? I'll
answer for the mentally challenged out there.... none.

> Stop shoving yours, and then you can bitch.

Again, where is the shoving going on? Mentioning it? That is not shoving.

> Show me one spot in the bible where Jesus told you to impose your beliefs on
> another, rather than to live your life and show others.

Ahhh... what you are doing is word twisting here, and not very good
either. When you fulfill the great commandment (you do know where it is,
but for the others, here it is to read for yourself, Matthew 28:19, New
International Version red letter "Therefore GO and MAKE disciples of ALL
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of
the Holy Spirit, and TEACHING them to OBEY EVERYTHING I have COMMMANDED
you." The caps are my emphasis. So, there you have it. Christians are
ORDERED to GO and MAKE disciples. You do understand what an order is
from a superior. And I can not think of anyone more superior than Jesus,
can you? So, again, who should I listen to? Who should I obey? And just
as important, why?

   Not so simple.

The original poster is not unlike many others who drop a commentary

Tony P is very much a part of this group.

And since politics & religion are the two subjects considered "heated

Anyone who believes in any organized religion.  Faith is nutty.
Obviously all the religions can't be right all the time, therefore the
majority of religious adherents are wrong, know they must be wrong,
yet persist in believing in that wrong.  Nutty, I tell you.

No I didn't.  I merely provided a link in response to Tony P's
insinuation that those that kill in the name of their Christian god
are by definition not Christian.  If it looks like a Christian, smells

Do what you gotta do Tony.

The people committing mass murder in the name of their God and defined by
their interpretation of what they consider to be the one Holy book will do
the same, and you have nothing to say about it, you have no ability to look

No, ignorance is not a crime, stupidity is.  And, have you listened to your
"Christian" buddy Fred Phelps lately, praising the death of GIs killed in
Iraq?  Or the bible where the practice was to "kill man, women and children,
except, of course, the virgin girls who were fair game for "wives"?
By the way, which version of creation do you subscribe to--

One has gotta be wrong. You need to choose to use your head. And choose to

Ok... Fred Phelps. Don't know the man. And if he "claims" to be a
Christian, then his words and his life should reflect it. If they don't,
then he isn't. Oh, he can say he is, but that still doesn't make him
one. There will be many that make this claim, but will be denied by
Christ in the end (Matt 7:23).
As for creation, do you know how the Bible was written? Was it written
in chronological order? Do you understand the art and science of
Biblical understanding and interpetation?
And neither is wrong. As for posting in a religion group, why. Don't
hold this against anyone when everything else here is discussed.

If you do not know who Fred Phelps is, you do not follow ANY news and are
ignorant of more things than the bible.  Yes, I do know the bible, obviously
much better  than you. That is why I choose to call it fiction.  I study
where the stories in the bible actually came from.  Again, you obviously do
not.  Repeat: use your head, for a change, in this case.  Typical of those
who base their life on "faith", and paying 10% to the church, instead of
reason. Try actually helping people with that 10% instead of letting the
"church" squander it, then talk. Dan

Ah... the old ad hominem reply. And I disagree, you might have read the
Bible, but you do not know it.
You seemed troubled. To blanketly make statements without any evidence
shows your intellectual dishonesty.
Obviously, you know not what you speak. Faith is a part, but, if you
took the time to read my other messages, you would know that there is a
lot more.

No use.  The real stories are out there.  And, they do not require "faith"
to believe them.  Go and study, then try and argue.  You cannot prove the
bible by quoting the bible.
You can disagree all you like about ME knowing the bible when you refuse to
look at it in a reasonable light.  I am troubled, by people who have been
brainwashed.  Keep in mind, there are LOTS of other religions out there, and
the all think they are right.  Keep believing--it's kept the religion
business going for centuries.  PS:  no further post on this from me. I am
quite happy just disagreeing. Dan

Of course not. Circular reasoning. I never use that. Don't have to.

Again, you have yet to state your reasons why. What have you tested.
What evidence do you bring to the table. Yet, you mention brainwashing.
Well, you offered nothing in the way of any proof, evidence, etc..
So, I too won't continue this with you.

OTOH, it's easy to disprove the bible by quoting it.

It's an incoherent, internally invalid collection of myths and stories.

I figured that out before I was 10.

You're welcome.  Fortunately kooky religions are tax-deductible.  It
makes no sense that I can't deduct my contributions to the Sierra Club
because they're "political", yet the church can push all it wants for
teaching evolution in public schools, getting federal grants for
charity programs, and taking stances on political issues involving
abortion, contraception, and homosexuality and solicit tax-deductible
contributions to fund their nefarious motives?  Go figure.

Not at all.  You are commanded to witness your belief, as in demonstrate it.

Live it and TELL it as in Matt 28:19. How can anyone know what you
believe unless you tell them also? True Christians are compelled to tell
others. I can give you chapter and verse if you like.

Can't you just wear a T-shirt, like the hordes of "missionary" kids I
see whenever I'm traveling via the Houston airport?

Whenever it's 105 degrees out here and I see Mormons in their white
shirts riding their bikes around, or Jehovah's Witnesses patrolling
the streets in their dress clothes, I realize that they're in their
own man-made hell.  Satan won.

Those are missionary kids, they're the New Orleans gang bangers that
we were afflicted with after Katrina... They wear the oversized white
T-shirts so that the cops will only have a description of "black
teenager wearing white T-shirt"... They're intentionally dressing
alike to make it so that there is nothing to identify them
individually to whatever crime they are committing...Urban
camouflage...

Pastel-colored T-shirts = missionary kids on their way to the savage
jungles of the Caribbean to evangelize to the heathens.

Hmmm... think I'll sign up and take my scuba gear with me. I'll get some
pastel fins and bcd to fit right in. You know those fish need some help,
considering they are all going to die from global warming.
Oh, and I won't forget the coral either.

Are you sure it's hell for them? Ever talk to one to find out?
Now.. if you have any good t-shirts for me let me know.
I'd rather talk face to face.
Oh, the JW's don't stop by here anymore. Couldn't defend their position.
Same with Mormon's. You can add to that evolutionists and secular
humanists. Working on those that chant "green house" next.

Chapter and verse from the bible?  That means you think it is really
something more than fiction. Try some proof OUTSIDE
the bible.  Well???  Dan

Why? As for fiction, still waiting for your evidence, or are you basing
this on your "faith" that you are right.

Mostly because they do not recognize that the new testimony
is a radical breach with the old. The Evangelists except
John, though, try to construct a (fake) line of evidence
and "proofs" that should show Jesus as a follower of JHWE.
Which he was not.

Jan Pallach in 1968, burnt himself without harm to others,
as a protest against the soviet invasion.

Small correction - Palach and 1969 (January, 16th). In 1968 it was
Ryszard Siwiec, that burnt himself. AFAIK there were no religion cause
for their deaths.
Anyway you have wonderful example on you own backyard. Rev. Ronald
Weisselberg who burnt himself in protest against spreading Islam.

there are of course some plans or dreams  for suicide bombings, but
rather quite expensive

They aren't primarily Christian, although there are some, but they
aren't primarily Muslim, either.  The Tamil Tigers (LTTE) are mostly
Hindu, and used the "suicide vest" before the Palestinians and
Al-Qaeda.  It's a tactic, not a religious doctrine.

Yep, that "never changing God" that condones rape, murder and slavery.  You

just like violent fiction, try something better written.   Dan
