OK Got the "above ground" pictures up on my travel_photo website.  Use the URL below.

Hope you enjoy.

2nd Item - As it turns out, my own LDS here in NJ is sponsoring a trip to Key Largo for the
very time Dan Bracuk was planning his trip, the last week of June (06/22-07/01), so I will
definitely be there. In fact, I'll be back at the very Hotel where I stayed in January.

Our shop is using "Crystal Clear" Charters (not Silent World) this time. My instructor
(the trip organizer) has authorized me to invite any/all rec.scuban's to dive with our shop
(the boat will be privately chartered). Let me know if you want to join ($50.00 per 2 tank trip
2 trips per day, potentially some 1 tank night trips).  And we *will* do the Grove!

I personally will be there from 06/24 - 06/30 so I hope to see/meet some of you, finally!!!

Not me.  I have better things to do than wait around for Dan to decide
whether he's having a Dive with Dan or not.  So I'm going to Grand
Cayman in June instead.  If there's a hurricane in June, it has a
better chance of hitting Dan than me.

Good choice.  That Dan feller is overrated.

I doubt that, but I'm impatient.  If you also want to bail on the Dive
with Dan, join us in Grand Cayman.  We'll be at Cobalt Coast June
21-28.  I'm treating myself to Advanced Nitrox/Deco Procedures as a
late birthday present and getting Janna Rescue certified.  Just leave
any hurricanes behind in Florida, that's all I ask.

Naw, just not a big rush to rip your arms off, like that lawyer dude.
Kinda figure you get to stay intact without having to pay breakfast ransom
to the gorilla.  Besides, more than one of us has agreed to dive any profile
you set, and no offers to loan you a big tank full of carbon monoxide (damn
lawyers seem to be immune to that stuff).

Maybe Sheldon is right. I should get me one of those CO monitors.  Ya
never know.

That's probably why I became so disoriented at the Horseshoe that I
lost the boat.  Here I was thinking I was just a lousy
navigator . . .   (It also put Curtis in the moral quandary of saving
a lawyer's life vs. letting him swim off into the green never to be
seen ageen)

I'll also blame the CO on the fact that all my pics of rec.scubans
turned out to be big blurs, except for the one of Curtis which is a
huge blur, and the one of ESG who disappeared Cheshire cat style and
there's nothing left of him but a glove.

The underwater photos from French Polynesia are nice.  The Florida
ones are probably an accurate portrayal of the dive site.  Fresh water
simply ain't clear water.

If you get a chance to dive Looe Key when you are in the Keys in June,
take it.  If you're polite, I might even let you on my boat.

Thank you. And sadly, the salt water in Palau wasn't all that hot either this
time due to the plankton upwellings (locals said it's worse this year than normal).

Much appreciated. I think I could break away from my group for a day if we
set things up right. And hopefully the same day that the other rec.scubans
are with you. Either that, or as I said, you're all welcome to dive wth my LDS
on our boat.

Please keep us posted.

Or both.

Look at the thumbnail picture for the Republic of Palau 2007.  Do you notice
the horizon?  It should be level.  When you take photos without leveling the
camera, a very common malady, use an edit program to correct the picture.
Rotation a few degrees counter clockwise will greatly improve this image.

I see what you mean.  Having taken it on a boat traveling at 45Kts
at the time, I'm lucky it was even in focus. Many of the pics were not.

I'll see if i can correct it.

Thanks.

So, the dates in June are set?

Hmmm, sounds like a road trip in the making.

It's quite likely, which does not mean absolutely certain, that Pat
and I will be in Marathon 2007-06-17 to 2007-07-01.  Travelling days
would be 2007-06-16 and 2007-07-02.

My vacation has been requested, which is not the same as approved.

At least the gears & wheels are turning and burning.

Ahhh, but we have confidence in your negotiating profundity.
