Our little Corgi boy Toby needs some help.  Friday night he was
diagnosed with autoimmune hemolytic anemia.  He's been to one vet or
another since then and is spending the night at the emergency vet.  We
don't know exactly what's going on, but there appears to be a mass on
his spleen or liver.  We'll get an ultrasound on Monday for a better
idea.  The vet suspects cancer.

If you're the praying sort, please say a little something for him.  If
you're Catholic, a little help from St. Francis would be good.

We lost our little Bonnie to cancer on Nov 29, 2003.  She developed
AIHA while being treated for it on Nov 10, 2003.  This just ain't
fair.

As an owner of two wonderful Labs, I feel you pain.  The best of luck
to Toby and I hope everything turns out to be benign.  Go easy Dillon.

I hope the best for you and Toby, I just lost a husky mix (about 14 years
old) two weeks ago and while I was at DEMA last week my other dog (16 year
old cocker spaniel) had to be put down. The house is empty but our memories
are full! After we adjust to the lost we will probably adopt another dog. I
hope Toby does well, please keep us informed.

Al: we lost a Silky (16 yrs) and a Yorkie (15 yrs) within 2 weeks of each
other in May. They were both rescues that we had for 2 and 4 yrs,
respectively. It's tough but you do get over it and treasure the memories.
We still have a Yorkie that we adopted about a year ago, and we just adopted
a Cairn who is a pistol. When the time is right, the right dog will find
you.
