I hope the best for you and Toby, I just lost a husky mix (about 14 years
old) two weeks ago and while I was at DEMA last week my other dog (16 year
old cocker spaniel) had to be put down. The house is empty but our memories
are full! After we adjust to the lost we will probably adopt another dog. I
hope Toby does well, please keep us informed.

Al: we lost a Silky (16 yrs) and a Yorkie (15 yrs) within 2 weeks of each
other in May. They were both rescues that we had for 2 and 4 yrs,
respectively. It's tough but you do get over it and treasure the memories.
We still have a Yorkie that we adopted about a year ago, and we just adopted
a Cairn who is a pistol. When the time is right, the right dog will find
you.
