Red Snapper limit

There are around 1900 signatures on the petition so far, the
eco-freaks have sent over 10,000 signatures to reduce red snapper
limits. We need more signatures than the eco-freaks or we will lose
our 4 fish per day red snapper limit. This catch reduction  won't even
slow down the commercial fishermen.

If your name isn't on that petition, don't complain when you go out
into the gulf and can only catch 1 or 2 red snappers per day.

Not only does everyone need to sign it but you need to get as many
people as you can to sign it.

Here is the link,
https://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/794820007

Below is the letter from Bobbi Walker and below that is another letter
from her when she was asked if the signatures would get used for what
they appear to be intended for.

Dear All,

In order to counter the thousands of signatures from environmental
groups requesting the NMFS to drop the red snapper TAC to 5.8 million
pounds we have created a petition site that supports the council's
decision to delay by 4 months any further action on red snapper and
supports the voluntary buyout of commercial quota that would be
transferred to the recreational sector upon purchase. PLEASE go to the
site below by clicking on it or visit Orange Beach Fishing
Association's web site www.gulffishing.net/home.htm and sign the
petition there. We encourage you to forward this email to as many
people as possible so that we can obtain thousands of signatures.

How is the red snapper population going as a matter of interest?

I've got interest one way or the other

There are a lot of spearfishermen on this group.
I think they might find this a "matter of interest."

I do!!

It's being decimated by shrimp trawlers.  They kill almost all of the
baby snappers.  They also aren't imposing these severe limits on
commercial fishermen.  They think they can save the resource by
limiting sport fishermen to two fish per day.  A lot of charter boats
aren't gonna make it.  People won't pay for a trip if they can only
keep two red snapper.  They need to wake up to the fact that by-catch
is the real problem.

It seems based on the facts you have given is that the way to go is to stop
the prawn trawlers.

I hate to be cruel, but welcome to the world.

No one cares, especially in area's where you can take a boat ride and see a
reef covered with fish for you to spear.

If they arent into boat rides, SCUBA or spear fishing, you all are
invisible.

They claim rape of the sea by you, you claim rape of the sea by them.

The sea continues to be raped.

Boil it down to gravy.

Those into boat rides, SCUBA or spear fishing, are a real hotbed
of apathy.

I know.

The "summer residents" around here are killing the canal, and couldn't care
less. 30 year old septics that are meant to service a family of 3 for three
months during the summer, servicing 6 year round and 15 for three months.
Next is to raise their property taxes to pay for mandatory yearly septic
inspections. It will be worth it just to hear them bitch and whine when they
get the house condemned for occupancy until they fix the septic.

a.sholes like one of our 3-month-a-year "neighbors", who is fond of washing
his 1.5 ton Dodge Club Cab Dually 4 wheel drive Diesel on the hill by his
"cabin", and letting the runoff go straight into the canal, while there is a
good carwash that treats and recycles water 12 miles away.

The day I pointed out to him that there was a really cool, ecologically
friendly cash wash 12 miles away, and that his soap and grease and diesel
were running straight onto the beach and across into the canal, he said "So
what? It wont hurt nothin'."

His "cabin" is right above the beach that was closed by the health folks for
e-coli contamination. The sign making public notice of the closure is
directly across the road, facing my back as he says this;

As in he was seeing the sign directly behind me, as he was chatting with me,
and his soapy diesel water was running across the road and onto the rocks at
the base of the sign.

I was kind of stunned for a minute as I considered that here is a guy who is
obviously smart and successful enough to own and drive the biggest, gas
guzzlingest, crew cab 4 wheel drive truck, and own a "cabin" (which is like
6 bedrooms and 2.5 stories with a garage big enough for his boat and truck)
on Hood Canal, besides where he usually lives (Oregon plates), but is just
as dumb as sh.t on a stick.

Couldn't be bothered to care less.

you f.cking watermelon greenie. It is everybody's right to poor sh.t into
our oceans, wash our cars so all the phosphorous goes into the canal and
kill all the red snapper. You're probably a democrat voter who doesn't
believe in the right of every American to own a machine gun and walk the
streets with a SAM in each pocket. Commie bastard and you're probably Moslem

And all you did was whine at him.

Everyone knows you lack the balls to actually do something effective about
it.

Oh let him run.

Every time Nisarel "attacks" me he illustrates his considreable cowardice
and sickness.

His "Peace Arch" thing is just a f.cking sophomoric joke.

The guy is the absolute *butt* of every newsgroup he infects.

And, everyone knows, he posts and hides his true identity because he is the
definition of coward.

I have Nunya and every permutation thereof in my killfile, but I notice this
is from Whidbey...

I know a couple jarheads, a pilot and two EOD guys up there...

As far as standing on my porch and saying hi to my wife, I *invite* him to
come do just that.

f.ck this clown, every moment wasted on him is a moment wasted on him.

Happy USMC Birthday Brother!

public Internet access point.

Try coming up to Canada for a visit, pussy.
