Well, Carol had her ear surgery today.  Dr. Yuim said everything went
pretty well.  He put cartlege over the entire drum due to the size of
the perf.  Had to do some work on the ear bones due to calcification,
which he said had probably been there for quite some time.  We won't
know about her hearing for 6-8 weeks and won't know about the diving
for another year.

She's still groggy from the anesthesia.  Worse than her last two
surgeries, which were much more invasive.  She has a huge compression
dressing covering the left side of her head.  She was complaining a
little of pain, but with the Darvon onboard she's not complaining
much.  In fact I just checked on her and she was sound asleep.

Hope for the best, she wants to go to either Hawai'i or Cozumel in
January of 2008.  Probably Hawai'i, it's been 4 1/2 years now, and
more like 6 since we were on Maui.

All my fingers and toes are crossed.

She'll be fine.

That's good news Dillon. As a kindrid spirit of sorts given my own ear issues now,
I'm happy that it looks positive for her. All the best. As for me, my local DAN referal
Dr. has cleared me now to resume diving. I don't feel any better than before, and there
are time when I still sense a total blockage of the left Eaustachian Tube.  But overall, it's
better.

And besides, it's too cold up here now and Dutch Springs closes for the season in two weeks.
Oh well.  Next stop Florida in Mid-January.  Has anyone organized anything yet (or wishes to)?
I can come to Lauderdale from Bradenton/Sarasota.
