http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20061027/od_nm/life_coke1_dc

Dillon - This apparently originated in Texas and is the latest craze at the "State Fair."
Have you seen it yet, and if so, is it any good?

Trouble is, I can't figure out from where to by CocaCola Syrup.

Oh well. It's getting cold up here in NJ anyway so too late to go to Dutch (only 3 weeks left
anyway before it closes for the season). IOh well. See you all in Fla. in Jan. 2007.

You can get the syrup on ebay if your local restaurant supply doesn't
carry it.

:-D

"But Gonzales said the success of his fried Coke had inspired him. Next year's fair-goers can look
forward to fried Sprite or -- for those watching their weight -- fried diet Coke."

Never heard of it.  Although I haven't been to the State Fair in
like12-13 years.  Before we moved to Austin, so must be 13 or more.
Plenty of fried crap out there.  Probably some fried crap, if you look
for it.

The diehards are starting to put on some heavy duty rubber here.
Sooner or later the Sunday afternoon dives are going to be all beer,
no dive.  With plenty of grilled stuff (take sea scallops, marinate
them for 30 minutes in rum & lemon juice, wrap a piece of bacon around
them and put 'em on a skewer,  when the bacon's done, so is the
scallop).  Fewer boats going out, now that the air temps are into the
70s.  Bunch of pussy boaters.
