More liberal crap...
I live in Michigan...along with a "majority" of union types/auto workers
etc. Not that there is anything wrong with unions/autoworkers  (blah blah
blah)
Michigan currently is 50th in the nation with regard to economic growth, and
basically also the worst in the nation with regard to employment.
Now, I'm not one of those *types*, and eagerly await the day I can sell my
home and move south.
But yet, these "Michiganders" apparently support Jeniffer Granholm (current
failed governer) for governer re-elections according to recent polls against
DeVoss.
I CAN'T believe this! How f'n stupid can the sheople be?

That's even funner.
Check this out...

LANSING, Mich.--While the national economy has robustly recovered from the
recession, Michigan's economy has staggered, resulting in the Wolverine
state being tied for the highest unemployment rate in the nation. This
should be no surprise considering the Tax Foundation ranks Michigan's
business tax the worst in the nation and overall business climate as 36th
out of the 50 states.

In response to Michigan's economic woes, Gov. Jennifer Granholm has proposed
a "revenue neutral" tax shift, borrowing $2 billion to invest directly into
companies, and a budget that increases spending and raises taxes.

more here: http://www.opinionjournal.com/cc/?id=110006925

Did you read that? her plan includes RAISING TAXES, Borrowing MORE, Spending
MORE.

I guess I'm ticked off at this because we've been doing websites for 8
years, and this year we *almost* went out of business if not for a partial
merger/sell to a non michigan company.

Just venting - have a good day everyone.

Cool.

They are going to blow billions of your tax dollars to bring benefit-less
minimum wage jobs to your state, and make it easier for big corporations and
CEO's to make millions, while you all slowly lose your homes and life
savings.

Along with all that will come increased drug and alcohol abuse, and the
attendant crime increases.

Tax and spend, thats the Demcorat way.

So...what't the down side?
heh.
Yea I read another article about Michigan topping the nation with mortgage
foreclosures already.
We'd sell and move south now, but can't get what our home is worth - and we
live right on the water!

Funny how the tax man assess' the value of the house for more than what the
market will bear...

Can you get what you paid for it plus a profit? (adjusted for inflation
and time and interest spent?) If so, and you want to move, do so. Forget
about "what it's worth". It's worth what you are willing to part for it
for, and what someone is willing to buy it for.

"Worth" is what the final price is, and all other numbers are merely
some real estate agent's wish. "Worth" goes up and own according to
supply and demand and other market pressures.

As I said, if you really want to move, don't let 'worth" stand in your way.

Wife wants to wait till kids are all out of school and graduated.
In the meantime, were thinking of a houseboat in Florida to live on for

A wise man once said that the difference between intelligence and stupidity is that intelligence has
a limit.

According to her campaign commercial she is responsible for Toyota building
new auto-related plants in the State with XXX new jobs and it's just the
start of the economic recovery.  (That's why she's running for reelection.)
Hey, at least Michigan made the list; what do you want?  That's some of the
nice things about the U.S.; you can vote and live where you want.

Yea but...the Toyota deal is a mess too.
Toyota bid $9 million for the land, while DPG bid $16 million. Her
administration didnt sell to the highest bidder as they preferred Toyota.
DPG had planned to invest $1 billion in development that would have netted
$20 million in new tax revenues. The problem with the preferential treatment
to Toyota is that other potential major corporations see how DPG was
screwed, and therefore wont consider investing.
So...she lands toyota, but potentially loses a lot of other business
investment.
Oh well. 1 in the hand is better than to in the bush I guess.
