Hi All
I am try to obtain an o2, helium booster pump of the haskell or jetsam type,
any condition and for little money, you know divers do not like to spend
vast sums of money.
I'm not bother what condition it's in, need one for a project, so
obviously the better condition the more expensive it would be, I cannot
locate a second hand one anywhere.
Thanks for the help

Dittos on the Masterline pumps. Arnold may be near retirement, but he
really makes a fine machine.

I'm not surprised. There aren't that many O2 booster pumps around and those
that have them, don't usually want to part with them.
As an alternative, see if you can get your hands on a copy of Airspeed Press
pamphlet "Improvised and Low Cost HP Gas Boosters." It has sufficient
detail and instructions for you to build your own.

Once divers get ahold of these things, the price doubles. You need to
look for them in other places, such as aircraft and military surplus.
They are used alot around airports.
You also need to know what you need - there are several different types
that are made for different applications. Some move alot of gas but
have a relatively low boost ratio. The ones with high boost ratios are
slower because they move a smaller volume.
Know what you're getting into with drive gas too - you need a
substantial LP compressor to run these things. Don't think you are
going to run one off of a $200 home garage compressor. No matter how
much you want it to, it won't work.
Do you really need to boost O2? O2 complicates things, and boosting it
is serious business...really. Most of the O2 accidents I know of
involved a booster. We have an O2 booster and only use it for helium,
as I have decided that boosting O2 is just too dangerous for me. I
really have no reason to do it.
If you go to The Deco Stop board, you may get some leads, but you are
dealing with divers there.
