I'm looking at getting my dive rating, and the local shops here seem to
be either PADI or SDI.  Is there much difference between the 2?  I do
quite a bit of traveling, and want to make sure I'll be able to rent
gear at most places.

Thanks

renting gear won't be a problem with either agency

Interview the instructors and find one who's teaching style matches
your learning style.  The instructor is more important than the
agency.
