For those into this.  Great Lakes Dive Company is to be commended for
their hard work and technical ingenuity in finding the remains of an
F-89c Scorpion that disappeared over Lake Superior 1953.  Certainly the
family and friends of our brave military personnel need to know what
happened to their missing loved ones.  Also, seems like GLDC is being
very respectful to the dead and their families in the handling of this.

But, did they find a UFO partially buried not far from the wreckage or
is it a natural occuring formation?  It appears that we will have to
wait until spring or summer 2007 to find out.

Cool ( a UFO though...?)
I dive the Great Lakes all ther time.
A buddy of mine has dived on a P-39 plane on the North Channel between St
Clair River and Lake St Clair.

Wouldn't be willing to identify where in the river would you, is it
accessible by shore and how is the current in that part. What about
freighters? I live an hour away from Sarnia and would be interested in
diving this site.

I haven't dived it yet - but I can get the coordinates.
You wouldn't happen to know how I could reach 1000s of scuba divers by email
to promotoe our new Diver Discount Club Brethren of the Coast...would you?
see: www.BrethrenoftheCoast.net
Thanks!

Oh...and the freighters...yea. well. We go really negative with buoyancy and
hug the bottom a lot when one goes overhead. There's usually plenty to hang
on to down there. Can be really unnerving to say the least.

If it's in Superior, it will be completely coated with zebra mussels
before anyone spots it.

Unless the aliens have developed some sort of zebra-mussel-resistant
supermaterial, in which case we MUST salvage to reverse engineer the
technology.

UFO doesn't necessarily mean alien.

It won't be a UFO anyway.  If it's sitting on the bottom of Lake Superior,
it isn't flying any more.

So, what we really have is an unidentified object on the bottom of the lake.
I imagine there's mroe than a few of those around.

Officially called "USO"
Unidentified Submerged Object.
Saw a show on it - actually called that

I had already thought of that, but I figured that the chances were that, at one time, it was a
flying object, and it is currently unidentified, so the moniker could still be valid.
El Mecky - 26 Sep 2006 00:21 GMT
Would be an UFFO then. (unidentified formerly flying object)

Has anyone noticed that the Great Lakes site has gone down?

Not really down. The link seems to go nowhere, but the main site correctly
loades a completely blank page. So must be intentionally taken out of the
air.
