A new and unique membership organization formed for divers by divers is
beginning it's membership drive.
Shadow Diver's/Deep Sea Detectives John Chatterton and Richie Kohler, in
addition to becoming charter members, have also agreed to play a role in the
growth of the network along side founders Rick and Deanna Saterstad of
Michigan.
The Brethren (and sisters) of the Coast Diver's Discount Network offers
member divers discounts on gear, charters, travel and more for a low annual
fee of $29.95 while at the same time offering businesses a free listing as a
provider in the network.
The website currently lists providers such as dive shops, charters and
travel agents who have agreed to offer a discount or other incentives to
card carrying members. While the site currently lists only the cities and
countries recently targeted, with your assistance it will be world wide.
Soon, divers will be able to receive discounts on gear, travel, charters,
restaurants, hotels and more both close to home or while away on vacation
anywhere!
Additionally, to promote the growth of the network, and further diversify
the provider lists, businesses can list their business for free even without
a membership, and member divers owning a business can also list their
services in the provider list at no additional cost.
- 1. If you are a business owner and are interested in a free listing but
are ALSO a SCUBA diver, you might consider purchasing a membership for
$29.95, which includes a Free Provider Listing on this website.
- 2. If you are a business owner and are interested in a free listing but
you are NOT a SCUBA diver, or not interested in membership at this time, you
can list your business for FREE!

In a separate post, you said you didn't want to spam the group and that you
wanted an honest response. Here's mine. The first message I've ever seen
from you is included below. It is a blatant add for a business you will
profit from that you want us to be customers of. It is unsolicited and was
posted to all three rec.scuba groups. It's spam.

Yes...it was spam. More like a press release, but spam non the less.
Sorry. I've not utilized usenet that much in the past and careleselly
"spammed" the board.
So I will NOT do that again.

Good response.

Not really. It's like OJ killing his ex-wife once. He will NOT do it
again, I bet, so that makes it OK. Hell no. We should chop his hand off
like they do in Iran. Then he won't do it again, or if he does, he'll at
least have to find someone to type it for him.

Would it be enough to only remove his send key? After all, the penalty
should fit the crime.
