Will be in Grand Cayman on a cruise the first week of October. Any
recommendations on who to dive with? Have to 2 teenagers 15 - 18 newly
certified, and wife and I dive but have not been out in 2 years.
Thanks for all the help!

Watch out in Grand Cayman, Pearl. They frown on homosexuality there, so you
and your "wife" should be careful about expressing intimacies in public.
Come out to California instead, where open lesbianism is not only tolerated,
but encouraged.
I'd recommend Dive N' Stuff as a great sixpac operation, but Paul prefers
experienced divers if he's going out to the north wall. You might want to
start out with an easy shore dive until you get your feet wet at Eden Rock
or the Turtle Farm. Beware of the stingrays at Stingray City. They're
killers.

In more ways than one.
At their level of experience, Rec.scuba conventional wisdom indicates one
of the four won't make it off the Cayman Islands alive.

But the Caymaners will cover up the deaths, as they always do.
Those Arubans should have taken a page from their book when Holloway was
kidnapped/killed. Would have saved them a lot of embarrassment on Nancy
Grace.

Did she drive one of them to suicide?

A great night shore dive.

Nah, they cut the barbs from all of them. Trust me.

A few years ago there was talk of moving the cruise ship anchorages
around to the south shore, away from Georgetown. But assuming things
haven't changed yet, you'll be anchored off Georgetown. Eden Rock is a
great shore dive within walking distance of the shuttle dock. They also
operate a boat (or boats).
As for who you should dive with, you probably should wait to see what
kind of time you have there, when you arrive and depart etc. I would
think that the cruise ship would have recommendations as to which
operators make it easiest for cruise passengers. Some might even pick
up right from the ship. If you're only there for a day the possible
time constraints might be more problematic than choosing between dive
ops.
The great thing about GC is that unless there's a full blown hurricane
going on, there's always a sheltered side of the island to dive within
easy reach. If it's really rough they'll take you by van to the
sheltered shore and board there. Since the entire island is only
something like 20 by 7 miles in size, nothing's all that far away.
Have fun.

When I was there I went out with the Sunset House. They seemed pretty good
at the time.
