Beats the alternative.
Two choices, hunt or be hunted.

We do and we are the best:
People are the ultimate predators by David Suzuki
Humans are remarkably efficient at killing. Although we often marvel at
the ability of big predators like tigers, wolves and sharks to
efficiently dispatch their prey, in terms of absolute numbers, none of
these creatures holds a candle to human beings. We are the best killers
nature has ever made.

Those too.
Speaking of trigger fingers, Jayna's Beretta 92F Compact turned out to be a
poor deal. I sold it last week and purchased a new 92 FS. She shot the new
gun and my old 92F and like the old one better. Worked out perfectly. I
like the new one better. The three dot sights are much better for old eyes
than the older two dot version and I don't mind the slightly heavier kick
due to a lighter weapon.

Fish kills spear-fishing diver off Florida Mon Sep 11, 3:47 PM ET
MIAMI (Reuters) - A Florida diver shot a large grouper with a spear gun then
apparently drowned when the fish sped into a hole, entangling the man in the
line attached to the spear, investigators said on Monday.
The 42-year-old man, whose name was withheld, was free-diving in about 25
feet of water off the lower Florida Keys on Saturday and speared a Goliath
Grouper, Monroe County Sheriff's Detective Mark Coleman said.
"It looks like the fish wrapped the line attached to the spear around the
victim's wrist. The fish then went into a hole in a coral rock, effectively
pinning the man to the bottom of the ocean," Coleman said in a news release.
Police divers found the speared fish tightly wedged into the hole, with the
man's body still tangled in the line, a sheriff's spokeswoman said.
Goliath Grouper are the largest members of the sea bass family and can weigh
hundreds of pounds.

Bet he won't be spearing any more protected species.
Bet he wishes he's been free shafting.
