I just called Silent World, but thought I'd try here too.

The last time I saw my Dive Rite Nitek Duo computer and the figure eight
argon/pony strap was when we did our group dive on the Spiegel Grove.  I've
already called Silent World and figured I'd try here too.

Curtis, you're the most likely to have accidentally left with some of my
stuff, but you're not the only one that may have accidentally wound up with
a couple of things you didn't start out with.

To all who were there, please take a look to see if you may have
accidentally picked up either the computer or the strap system.

Thanks.

Lee

I didn't remember seeing anything extra when I cleaned everything out
of the back of my truck, but I just got through rechecking the crate
that I keep my gear in here at the house... Nothing extra...

Cindy's Nitek came close to getting thrown overboard, but it is big and
yellow, so it is not likely I mistook your duo for it.

We just rechecked our gear, and we don't have any of yours. Hope you
find it.

Me too.  I plan to sell it.  My new Nitek He will do everything the Duo
will, better than the Duo will do it.  While its ability to handle trimix is
part of why I bought the He, the primary reasons were the information it
displays in deco mode that the Duo doesn't and the fact that it was on sale.

Al,
I have been diving since getting back from DWG II and had an opportunity
to pretty much empty my dive gear bag and did not see any equipment that
didn't belong to me.  However, just to be certain, I emptied it again.
Nothing on this end.

I went thru all of my gear last night and didn't see it.

However, I did find my Scout light, another regulator, a box of girl
scout cookies and another liter of Cap'n Morgans.

All clear on my end, would have found them before that weekend ended.
And, having just returned from diving in Nassau, definitely would have found
anything either extra or missing while reconfiguring gear.  Neither
condition occured.

Nothing new here either.

Me neither.  If I found the computer, I would have kept it since someone
keeps complaining that my computer is too conservative, but no such luck.  I
figured the strap was some sort of truss so Lee could wear his Speedos
proudly and I wouldn't have touched that with a 10-foot gaff.

I'd notice the devil's device in my bag by smell, would have to have it
exorcized, then shipped back in holy water.  <big evil grin>

Who did you dive with in Nassau, and what did you do? That's Deep Air
City.

Yeah, 'twas deep air, did an 88 and a 43 FSW with a pair of AL80s jammed
to 2700 psig.  :-)

Just did the cruise ship special, for time and convenience, don't
remember the boat name.  Average "newbie" type dives, wasn't expecting any
more, but I did enjoy them.  Wasn't the reason for the cruise, just a
quickie snuck into the schedule.

Will say the crew was very pleasant, and were not begging / demanding a
tip like about everyone else on that island.

I did some of the stupid stuff there many years ago. I think that the
place next to Dive Dive Dive has gas now.

I like the diving there, especially the sites that are a little farther
out on the wall. The 3 main shops are all decent and pretty much leave
you alone if that's what you want. I was treated particularly well at
Nassau Scuba Centre. It's a pity that the rest of the island is such a
slum. I also don't like the shark feeding nonsense, especially since
they moved it closer in, by the Bahama Mama.

Glad you enjoyed it. The diving there can be pretty good when the wind
isn't wrong.

Didn't even see any of those.  Not high on my lovely's list of things to
see.   ;-)

I was drooling the day before when we were shown Ben's Cave.

Figure if ever go for strictly diving, want to go in such a way that I
can bring my own tanks & fills.

Gotta confess, not being used to the configuration, corked after the
first dive (Quick fix for #2, perfect).  The usual conversion between fresh
and salt didn't work very well for me, been about 8 years since I dove a
single 80 in salt, first time with a BP.  Identical configuration with dubs
(and of course 2 first stages), I can hold 10 FFW easily with 150 psig.
What I found is actually takes more weight to balance a single than my
doubles.  Lee, something extra to take note of.  :-)

Vis was 50 feet according to the DM, I'd have said 40ish, had the worst
weather of the trip that morning.

Probably a good thing overall, only a mild rocking on Saturday night,
which I enjoyed, otherwise was like cruising the inland waterways, except
for the absence of land.  Considering we were watching Chris last week,
fared quite well.

Not the type of diving to rave about, but way better than spending the
day at work.  ;-)

   Zero lead needed with teeshirt.

Curtis - did you enjoy the Nassau diving??

Yes, was worthwhile, very different diving singles for the first time in
2-3 years, not to mention only 4 dives in about the same time frame using
21%.

Figured the boat would be packed, ended up they combined 2 cruise ships
for a grand total of 7 divers on a boat about the size of what we had 12 on
in KL.

Back on ship in time to be showered and changed for a brief tour of the
islands with my better half.

This is sounding like my troubles after DWG 1. If there is a DWG III,
I intend to wear my gear 24/7. :-)
