People who remind people of their advancing infirmities are real
lowlifes!

Happy birthday Mike. Go to that biker joint you took me to and enjoy
yourself. Take pictures of the waitress and post them. Steal her pen
and mail it to me.

Would that be the girl with the flashing pen? The one that had yer
tongue unfurled and stretched out across the tabletop like a raw pork
tenderloin?

Did the stab wounds Mike inflicted heal okay? I thought he was being a
tad harsh nailing yer tongue to the table with his fork just when you
had your nose down the front of her teeshirt almost to her navel. Mebbe
it was the way you were drooling in his steak. I was pretty proud of
the way I fought the testosterone rush and maintained the poise of a
eunuch at a strip bar. You guys on the other hand .....

That very well may be, but I'd rather take any excuse there is to
extend well-wishes to a friend for health and happiness, for it sure as
hell beats the alternative.

Yes it does, and friends deserve the well wishes.

Yeah, it was kind of wierd to discover the convergence.  We had been
dating for about three months at the time.  And then, when we got
engaged, we looked at the calendar and realized that we could get the
whole thing taken care of.  Those were the days when you could get
engaged in December and married the next June.  These days I have
people who are looking at honeymoons two years out.

We were engaged in December with the understanding that we wouldn't even
talk about dates until at least one of us had graduated.  Janeen graduated
the next spring and we moved to North Carolina.  We started preparing for
the wedding around August and got married (from 1200 miles away) in March.
It can be done, you just have to be reasonable about it.  We didn't go on
our honeymoon until June though.

I don't know why that didn't register. Must've been the brain cells we
murdered in July.

Happy belated birthday.

Warning: I will no longer be responsible
for anything left in my memory longer than 20 minutes!

Ah. You've now reached that fine state of maturation where you no
longer worship the miracle of procreation (that's not the same as being
thankful yer secretary isn't knocked up after the office party).
