Definitely a *serious* dive light... Rated to 2000m...

But, do they have a goodman handle for it?
200W-600W HID... Yeah, that should be about perfect for the failing eyesight
of all us old farts...
Let's see, the Helios 9 is an 18W HID with a 9Ah battery pack... At 600W,
you would need over 33 of those battery packs for the same 250 min burn
time... Let's assume that we wanted to go the cheaper route and use SLA
batteries insted of NiMH... At 8.5lbs for a 10Ah battery, we're now looking
at over 280 lbs for a battery pack... Damn, I think they're going to have to
reinforce the dive boat ladder... <grin>

Seems like it would be easier to carry a microwave receiver and just
have the power beamed down from the boat. That way you could cook your
own food on the long dive.

I do not believe that would work. Microwave energy attenuates very rapidly
in water. Same effect makes underwater GPS difficult.

Nawh, that's what the propane and O2 tanks are for -- underwater grilling...

Just open the grill, bait the grouper with a vienna sausage and you're
set, stuffed grilled grouper.
