Went out for two dives today in Lake Pend Orielle, North Idaho. Looking for
a rather spendy CQR anchor a buddy lost.

Water was 41 at the surface, 37 below the 'cline at 35 ft. Never did find
the anchor but, managed to suck a couple 100s dry.  Had snow coming down on
the surface for awhile.
Sure would like to see spring get here.

Best wishes for warm water, Dan

Even in the summer, the water below the 'cline doesnt warm much, if at all.

Lake Pend Oreille is a big heat sink, it will warm on the surface just
enough to get you to feel comfy, but somewhere down there it snaps off to
just above ice.

The Navy loves that lake for its thermal and acoustic stability.
