Hi Tom,
thanks for your reply.
As for all of your questions. Yes the computer is set up to receive all
dives.
As for your troubleshoting. Thank you. I did check this...the Aladin was
set to lo for transfer, I switched it to hi. It didnt help.
I just clicked 'Dive Computer Settings' on Smart trak and it said it
wasnt connected to the underwater computer again.
Oh well...
I guess I wouldn't reconnend this as a dive computer to anyone and I
have learned an expensive lesson myself.

I've had problems with IFR links for years - getting them to work properly.
Don't know why. Older portable computers were constantly a problem. How
new is your computer? I wouldn't necessarily blame the dive computer for
the problems you are having - although that may be the cause. Is your
interface one of those recommended by Uwatec? Have you tried linking to a
different computer? Are there any setup instructions for you to follow?

Something else to try (if you are using a laptop).
If you are using a desktop computer this will not apply.
Disconnect the AC power source and just use battery power during the
data transfer.
I am using a MemoMouse with my Uwatec computer. I could not get it to
transfer. When I mentioned it either here, or in rec.scuba-equipment,
someone suggested disconnecting the PC charger. That took care of it.
I guess the AC charger was introducing enough unfiltered AC component or
switching hash into the serial communications that it scrambled it.
