I am looking to bet my first BCD.  I dive on a weekly basis at the
local pool and once a month at an inland quarry or around the UK coast.
So far my shortlist comprises of:
Tigullio T52
SeacSub Pro 2000
Seac Sub Pro Tech
Cressi Sub J111R
Cressi Sub S111R
I would appreciate any feedback that any users of these BCD's have.
Particularly the performance of the Tigullio, the use of a non
corrugated hose inflator on the J111R and if the Pro200 is worth the
extra money over the Pro Tech.

Dump this italian sh.t. Sorry.
Get a Buddy jacket.
If italian, get an Oxy 1100. They they the N.Y. police uses
same. I do, too.

Your choice will depend on what you can find, afford, research and try.  Try
to try. Feel the resistance in the water, the bouyancy at the surface, the
problems with inflate or deflate positions and the effectiveness for how and
why you dive. Some people swear by back mounted floation, some people who
have been in ocean storms swear by jackets and front mounted, (fenzy) some
people who have to do exacting work swear by back mounted some people who
want to save money swear by noname brands.  Get the BC for the driver who is
taking it to work.  Its a tool, find its purpose.  Just don't make a choice
and stick with it, keep an open mind to change.

Go with a backplate (aluminum or stainless steel as appropriate), harness,
and wing instead... It's simplier, better, and you can more easily repair it
if the need arises... You can find it on eBay... It's not like a big honkin'
piece of metal is going to be damaged in normal use and if the webbing gets
frayed, it's easy and cheap enough to replace...

You can also sometimes find a good deal on a rear inflation BCD like the
Dacor Rig 2 and remove the wing and mate it with a metal backplate and
harness... You might be required to either drill an additional hole in the
backplate or install an additional grommet in the wing for it to fit
though... No big deal either way...
