cavey_curtis@$$ yahoo.com - 04 Sep 2005 17:58 GMT Gee guys, as one of the guys who still does physical labor, gotta figure out how to celebrate.
Reckon I'll push my truck south (to save on gasoline) and pick up a six-pack for tomorrow.
Wonder if I'd get a discount if I volunteered to row?
Y'all keep the commie busy, I'm gonna pack.

Haven't been yet, but Al Wells says it rocks so I want to try it as Al has impeccable taste. :) Apparently nice fresh water, about 75* top to bottom in August. Tons to see.

I thought the south of Ont. was pretty.....all the way down until you leave Niagara on the Lake. Then it's tits, more like a Buffalo suburb.

My mother came from Haliburton, just down the road, and I still try to stop at the spring whenever I get around there. My aunt, who's 91, still lives in a senior's place in Haliburton. Die-hard Leafs fan, so I rib her a lot and get it back in spades.
I tried a dive once, with my son, in a lake near Barrys Bay (south of Algonquin Park), max. depth of about 40'. Almost nothing to see except for the odd stubbie. Saw a lot of what looked like soft, spongy coral. --- Mike from Ottawa

I live between Haliburton and Minden in the Blairhampton triangle. Tourists get lost here for months on end and eventually die of starvation trying to find the way out. Very cool.

Saw a lot of what looked like soft, > spongy coral. Ha! I tried Sleleton Lake in Muskoka in 2002. Was nice on top, probably 75*, but hit a thermocline at 30' that took it to the mid-forties. Ended up being a short dive. As you say, very little to see, not great vis, everything kind of brown.

You must've been diving with Terri. I was invited yesterday, didn't know you were around.

It was a last minute very quick trip - we flew down late Friday night and came back early this morning. We did a dive on Saturday from Boynton with Mike and the morning yesterday with Conrad. I thought you guys were all going to Key Largo this weekend, and I didn't try to contact anyone else. Next time we'll do a longer trip, like 4 or 5 days, and see if we can't hook up with the rest of you SoFL folks.

Yup, Terri is a super cool girl who seems to really love teaching. I have no idea what she would be doing with students on the JA.

I only see 84* water in my dreams. Maybe next year I'll get south again. Sure do miss it.

We got weathered out.

Sunday morning wasn't so nice - lots of rain, but at least it wasn't rough enough to make Cindy puke.

Heard from a bud that was out diving in the am on Sun, then they fished in the afternoon. Says it turned to crap about the same time for them on Sunday as it did for us yesterday.

Thanks, am waiting for a local call to be made, then I'm driving. Got 360CF of 32% to breath, hope it's in the salt this weekend.
