I just bought a Timex Helix with a depth gauge after reading good
reviews on www.scubaboard.com.  I took it to 36 feet today and it
performed well.  It automatically started at 5 feet and started timing
my surface interval when I surfaced.  It was right with my depth gauge
and it updated every foot instead of every 5 feet like my analog depth
gauge.  It looks like it might do well for my  recreational diving
until I decide I need a computer.

Does anyone else use this watch?  What do you think?

I've used it a few times, but haven't had an opportunity to take it very
deep.  I really like the features it has.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get it and how much did you pay?

You can get them on eBay for around $50.

I can get them from Wal-Mart for $20

None of my local Wal-Marts have them and the www.walmart.com site
doesn't have them.  I suggest you buy up the local stock and list them
on eBay.

I've done exactly that in the past, but I was only getting about $30 each...
if they're up to $40+ I'll have to start again.

Good luck!
