Just a quickie note to share my experiences during my recent trip to Florida.

Along with visiting Dad, seeing his new house and meeting his new girlfriend, I
got in some diving. First two days were taken up with AOW checkout dives with
Capt. Jim Wyatt down in Cudjoe Key. As everyone else seems to agree, Jim's a
pleasure to dive with. His operation (Florida Reef-Divers), although small,
catered to the three of us who were taking the course. Despite the recent high
winds, we went out, did some shallow dives on Looe Key and the deep ones on the
Adolphus Busch. I will have to dive the Busch again when we have better
visibility though (it was in the 8-10 foot range!)

Then back up to the WPB area. I dove with Splashdown Divers out of Boynton
Beach as I tend to do when in the area. Lynn and Kevin made the trip good as
usual and I had the pleasure of meeting some of the rec-scubans. It was nice to
put faces to M/M Bullshark and to Mike Gray. Their hospitality in inviting me
to join them for lunch made me feel like I'd known them for a long time.

Kevin paired me up with Jeff Thomas who took on the role of tour director,
searching out some rather nice areas of the Boynton reef. (If you're reading
this Jeff, I haven't forgotten and will be sending the pictures to you within a
day or so.)

I got some great shots with my little digital camera and will of course be back
there.

Once again, thanks for the hospitality shown to a Northerner! Anytime you're up
here in New England, feel free to contact me and we might get together.
