Hi,

Another diver passed on.  I live in Vermont and this was one of the few dive
sites in the southern part of the state. My local dive shop said it looked
like he had equipment problems too and now it looks like the site might be
shut down to diving (it's a private flooded abandoned quarry).  Anyway,
don't know any details as they're doing the forensics on his equipment next
week.

WEST RUTLAND, Vt. - Crews on Monday uncovered the body of a diver who was
reported missing over the holiday weekend. The body of Tim Gagnon, 43, of
Northwood, N.H., was recovered Monday afternoon from the True Blue quarry in
West Rutland.

Gagnon was diving with another man, who had trouble with his gear, forcing
the men, both of whom were experienced divers, to attempt to surface.

"One man had problems with his equipment," said Vermont State Police Lt.
Donald Patch. "They tried to fix it and started to go up. One guy thought
his buddy was right behind him and was just swimming slower, but he came up
and the buddy wasn't there. That's when he called 911."

Gagnon's death was considered accidental, but an investigation is under way,
officials said.

Obviously he was PADI trained.
