Dear Lord, it's been over a year since my last posting . . . time
flies.
Anyhow, we're heading out to Costa Rica soon <90 days. Pacific coast
side. Family trip complete with MIL, SIL, and a bevy of beverages
(just to make the trip tolerable).
Has anyone done any diving there? We've got the air/hotel lined up,
Just need info on diving there. Been to the sites listed on the
I-net, but am looking for a more personal report. Ya know, pitfalls,
pratfalls, and recommendations on dive ops.
thanks all.
Ivanna

The diving is good but the white water rafting on the Pacuare is
AWESOME.... class 4 river going through a rain forest/jungle with cool
(not colorado cold) water....
Do the one day pick-up drop off same day service from San Jose
My Guide was Paul Jenne (probably gone by now... he was dutch) but any
of the group trips are fine.

All I've heard is that the diving sucks. If you're there on July 1,
perhaps you can stow away in my luggage and head to Cocos where the
diving is rumored to be a bit better. Nothing beats tinkling off a
high deck into the Pacific in the middle of nowhere, but don't tell
bullshark who would certainly complain that it somehow hurts all the
fishies.

Actually I was hoping to tinkle into the volcano. At that point I
would advise being upwind.
