that it's time to move?

Popeye?   Scott?   Crownfield?

We close on the new house tomorrow and will be moving on Thursday.  Anybody
willing to help out?  I'll grill up some tofu burgers.    C|;^{)

Oh, and we'll be doing some night diving this weekend.  (Just to stay on
topic.)  After the move my brother is coming to visit.  He and his
girlfriend are newly certified.  We are going to take them out diving but
I'm having such a hard time deciding where.  Any dive I'd be interested in
is way beyond them.  I really have no desire to dive the "Sea Tiger" again.

Awe, don't tell me you don't want to see the Japanese tourist on the
Atlantis sub going by. I'll be there Saturday morning. Doing the Rebreather
thing.

That'd be the YO-257 and San Pedro, dude.  We'll be there Friday night.
That's a dive I still enjoy doing.  You can easily blow a tank on each of
those wrecks but no self-respecting operator who has insurance will let you.
The Atlantis passing by is a rather neat little add-on, don't you think?  I
don't mind the Sea Tiger so much, it's the Kewalo Basin Pipe dive they
always do as a follow up that I can no longer tolerate.

Are you local?  Who do you usually dive with?

What do they do about it?

A stiff fine . . . a threat that you'll never dive their boat again . . .
um, er, or any boat again?

Take their boat to another spot and say, enjoy your dive.

OOPS! My  bad. Brain Fart. I dove the Sea Tiger this morning. The seas were
pretty choppy, but the dive was great. I got some really nice sea turtle,
eel and hermit crab pictures. I wanted to do the YO, but it was too rough.
Hope you enjoyed the night dive.

Yeah, I heard and saw about this morning.  Glad I wasn't out there.

We did both a dusk and night dive on the Yo-257/San Pedro.  It turned out to
be a classic example of what difference an hour can make.

The dusk dive was nice with moderate current at the surface and ~80' vis
below.  After an hour surface interval, I did the giant stride only to
surface and watch the boat pass me by.  I'm a strong swimmer but it took
700psi for me to reach the deck.  I briefly considered scrubbing the dive
but I was buddied with Dr. Matt, owner of Island Divers Hawaii, so I decided
this would be a "push the envelope" training dive.  I didn't see much
because the vis had gone to hell but I got to practice my skills in a night
dive in heavy current and poor vis.  It was a short dive because other
divers needed rescuing after being swept off the descent line while
attempting to surface.

Couple things;

1) I don't keep weapons in a gunrack, too easy for creeps to steal them.
2) I'd rather take a beating than move again, or help anyone move.
3) If you wanna buy the tickets to Hawaii, I am sure something could be
worked out.
4) What's wrong with your limp-wristed liberal buddies?

Oh...

5) People with gun racks in their rear window, don't eat tofu burgers.

Besides the fact that they are more difficult to access from there...
I always preferred to have it on the passenger side between the
console and the seat with a gray towel (same color and the interior of
the vehicle) over it... At least back in the days before we had the
ability to get a CHL here and had to carry as 12-gauge as a personal
defense weapon...

I woke up this morning with that sentence in mind, and raced here to
post it.

Speaking of "limp-wristed" have you read "Jarhead" yet?  What's this "field
f.ck" thing all about.  LOL

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Things have changed a
lot in 22 years.

The only thing I have time to read are trade publications, this NG once in a
while, and technical/legal documents.
