This scuba guide has a rather large scuba directory with over 1400 items in
it. It looks like something you could use to compare different brands of
scuba gear.

The only thing is, there aren't many reviews there, since it is a new site.
I expect that will change in time as more people visit and lend their
opinions

So, it's mostly ads?

 It's certainly not reviews, either.

I put one in 48 hrs ago, and it hasn't posted yet.

 Lookin kinda spammy.

If it is, will the SpamVampire work on this one?

I do stand corrected on one point, after a couple days, my negative
product review finally came up.

I see very few reviews there. What did you review? I could not find any water wings.

 Tusa Liberator fins.

I posted a review of Suunto Vyper. The site is very poor.

I searched for "Suunto computer" and got 0 hits. The site shows HTML code and has a
tendency to just show shopping links. I give the site a one star.

I agree. There are almost no reviews in there. I found two about some fins,
and the one from Popeye, and another from some guy who just said that he
likes Mares products.

Popeye, I found your review! http://www.thescubaguide.com/d/i1650/

When I want to check if a site is new, I look in Google and MSN search. This
directory has some pages in MSN, but it hasn't appeared in Google yet, so
I'm guessing it's only a couple weeks old. It's a blank slate!

I might go back in there and do some writing... this is a job for someone
like me to fill it with my own opinions

I thought it was your site, per your Dec 9 post.

What is the purpose of this site?

 Who is it affiliated with?

What's the criteria for brands featured?

 Or not featured?

Why aren't the gear types listed alphabetically?
