Hit the wreck of the Guy Harvey yesterday to tie off for a coupla
outta-towners. The expected frigid temps weren't as bad as expected (not
unlike in Curtis's cavern). Mebbe I'm just getting more naturally insulated
in my older age. Instead, the current was ripping, quite unusual for this
time of year. Not too bad on the wreck (I didn't hit sand at 140'ish but
bottomed out at 131') and had a nice look around for 6 mins, in true guwey
style - by my sweet self. vis not as great as it coould've been but not bad
relatively. North current was prolly a knot or less at 70' and close to 2
within 50' of the surface, which made my back up 2nd stage gurgle like a
baby after breakfast. Dropped the visitors on the Capt. Dan for a second
dive and caught some rays.
Looking forward to Ricks impending visit, much more confident about the
cold. See ya next weekend.
Dave.

Looks like everything is set for the road trip. I'll call when we get
around West Palm.
Yer frigid temps are like a heat wave to us. It started snowing as I
was grilling steaks the other night.
FWIW, "Shooters" made the No 1 pick of the "Ten Best Bars" in the
latest issue of Motorboating. SWMBO took one look at the pic and
commented that it was no wonder I like going there.

The play/fun meter is usually maxed out. Safe is another matter
entirely.

So long as you get here safely, we'll worry about the rest over our first
round of rum-runners.
Dave.
