I was intrigued by an ad in Dive Training by Henderson for Insta Dry
wetsuits. Supposedly dries within "minutes" after taking it off. If it were
for real, it would save a lot of hassle packing at the end of a trip. The
jumpsuit includes a towel and carrying pod. Looks good on paper.

Does the suit rinse the pee out, too?

To which Dillon Pyron queried in all ernestness:

I quote the ad: "Imagine if you will . . . how much easier and convenient
your dive adventures would be without cold, wet, heavy, and foul smelling
(sic) dive wear." Maybe it does :-)
Actually, I misquoted the ad in my original post. It says "dry within
minutes after taking it out of the water" which could mean out of the rinse
water.
What the add doesn't say is what thickness the suit is available in. The
patent on the technology is only "pending".

Save a lot of hassle, indeed. We might even be able to get rid of that annoying wait
24 hours to fly rule.

We did get rid of it, or at least DAN did, two years ago. Many dive computer
algorithms had gotten rid of it way before that.
I never had it to begin with.

Hours? Hours? I thought it was minutes. No wonder I felt so bad.

He wanted a new product. Has the trimix version been released yet?

Great suggestion! I can't think of a more fascinating product development for
SCUBA diving than the Spare Air. So many other cool uses too!
