Newdiver2 - 06 Nov 2003 00:00 GMT Hi folks.
I'll be visiting family in WPB next week and will be diving in the Keys early on but will probably be looking to dive BB or there-abouts on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I may have a buddy with me (my brother) or not. If not, anybody have a group I could latch onto? I figured I'd probably go with the folks at Splashdown if all else fails. (Not that they aren't good folks. I dove with them in the past, they paired me up with Peter Schulzin last year. In fact, I've probably dove/dived (never did figure out how to say it!!!) with some of you last year.)
- David (from New Hampshire if that rings a bell to anyone)

Normally, I'd try to make it, but not this time. I'm two days into recovery from pneumonia and, as those that know pneumonia, I'm still along way from having a good time.

I went diving. I dove on the wreck. I've probably been diving X number of times. I dived off the boat. I dived in the Caribbean Sea. A group of us dove together in Florida.

Charlie Hammond - 06 Nov 2003 15:59 GMT Unfortunately, I'll be in PA those days. Otherwise I'd find a way to dive with you -- espeially since I lived ~20 years in NH before moving to FL 5-1/2 years ago. Enjoy your time in FL.

Dan Volker - 07 Nov 2003 11:55 GMT Sandra and I may be diving Saturday or Sunday afternoon----we have 60 mile bike rides to do in the morning, so morning dives are not possible. Maybe we will see you. Regards, Dan V

The only time I have time for 60 mile rides is on Saturday and on Sunday. They also keep my legs in shape for freediving.

Bob Denton - 12 Nov 2003 16:12 GMT Today's forcast looks pretty bad for the weekend. Another front is expected to come through over the weekend bringing high winds.
Looks like I'll be riding my bike on A1A

Dan Volker - 12 Nov 2003 21:29 GMT I'll see you out there Saturday morning--though I may end up sleeping a little too late for the Boca ride...Friday night there is an awesome Blues band playing at the Bamboo Room, and I have to take in at least one set... Dan V

I am riding a Litespeed with Yellow Rims and and a South African national jersey. I can't keep up with the Boca group for too long. I max out at 23-25 in a line.
I was at the Bamboo Room last Thursday for a knock out band called the Way Backs!

This may be off topic but at least the visting divers will pick up on some places to check out.

Well, heck, we had one more thing to talk about that we didn't get to.

Bob Denton - 11 Nov 2003 20:48 GMT >Hi folks. > [quoted text clipped - 8 lines] > >- David (from New Hampshire if that rings a bell to anyone) I have been trying to get wet the past few weeks but either I've been travelling, too hung over or the diving has been blown out by wind. I'll probably dive with Leo Saturday or Sunday or both.
BTW, I play at the Irish Cottage, on Federal in Delray Beach Friday's and Saturdays. There's a diver discount. It's just north of Bordon Volvo and a couple miles South of the marina. It a fun pub...sometimes too fun!

There are a couple of Irish pubs here in the Ft. Lauderdale area that have some pretty nice entertainment on the weekends, assuming you like Irish music, which I do.

> You go for the music? What about the beer? I go for the Kilkenny ale and > Guinness stout. The music and the food. The potato soup is outstanding and the shepherd's pie is well worth the price. Bangers and mash are OK as well. I can get Guinness a lot of places other than an Irish pub. To the best of my knowledge, I've not had Kilkenny. I'm not above trying out an interesting beer, ale, stout, but I'm not enough of a beer fan to have settled on one versus another. Normally, I drink Bud Light, which will give you an idea of how my taste runs. I do, however, also like Killian, but only on draft.

Also The Field, Waxy O'Connor's, McGuire's Hill Sixteen, Murphy's Law in the Grove, The Harp and Piper in Pompano and occasional gigs at John Martin's, Irish Briney Breeze in Pompano, O'Shea's in WPB and a few I can't remember. I play guitar, mandolin and tin whistle.

Lee Bell - 12 Nov 2003 17:50 GMT Cool. The Field is one of the restaurants we frequent. There's another one in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, but the name escapes me. We also like the Falcon Pub in Davie.
