Went diving with Popeye, the Philosopher from Tennesseee. Spent two days
diving from the Tropical Sun with the always lovely & talented Captain
Roseanne, and one night drinking at various spots on PCB.

Morning of the first day was rather chilly, though we didn't care too much
when we saw the dolphin riding through our wake.
The first two dives were on the Black Bart, a sunken freigher. The water
temp was 77 or so, and the vis was quarry-like 10-15'. Fortunately we are
experienced Quarribean divers. I was working with 4 students (part of
checkout for assistant instructor/divemaster). There was a bullshark
swimming around, but took off shortly after we arrived. Only one person in
my group saw him. There were plenty of angelfish & damselfish.

Dives on the second day were on Bridgespan #14 and then back to Black Bart.

To reiterate what 70+ folks here already know, Doug is a fantastic diver - a
man I'm honored to call a friend.

A good time was had by all.

How'd you like my "Popeye's Magic Divebag 3.0" upgrade?

Kimber got me an Akona bag.

She's coming home tonight, and I have a niiiiiice present for her...

 Thanks, muchly, Big D.

You're welcome, Popeye.

Aw hell, the man just barely manages to keep from killing himself.  Then
again, that's probably a pretty good definition of a good diver.

Calling him a friend is another matter.  Lots of us do that . . . because he
is.

Well, at least he'll be smiling happily while he does it ;-)
