Had a bit of bad news this afternoon.
My son Craig was working at a remote dive site and was using a quad (4
wheeled off road bike) to transport the dive gear down a steep slope
to the beach.
Only about 100 yards, but very steep,
During a descent to beach the quad came off the track.
Craig managed to "walk" back to the site.
He had suffered cuts to the head and damage to his back. Thankfully no
damage to the spinal cord, although several vertebrae have fractures.
It looks like he won't be diving for some time.
The moral of this story is "Don't take your quad diving" :-(

I am glad he managed to walk out and is within the scope of things, ok. I
hope he has a speedy recovery and feels well soon.
Let him know he is thought of here in this household.

It's good to hear he's still alive.
As a Quad user myself, with proper safety training and much experience in
loading them past their limits with farm gear, what was he carrying and
where was it loaded?
I've had a Quad roll right over me, on a wet hillside in wet weather and it
slipped sideways down the hill and then rolled with me under it, I still
have the scar on my noggin to remember it by.
So welcome to the club Craig...
