Kimber, I was all set to wish you luck on the job interview but then I
read your blog and saw that you're flying to Washington for a
vacation... diving, horsebackriding and stuff.  Have a nice time.  Do
me a favor though.  I'm sure that your kids are a bit freaked out
after all they have been thru. Please reassure them that you're only
leaving them for a week and that you'll be back.  Preferrably, call
them every day at a set time if you can.  They will probably have some
nightmares about you dying after Hog's death..this is to be expected
and normal.

Actually it is not exactly a vacation.  This lady has been trying to get me
to go work for her since early summer.  She emailed me a few weeks back --
again trying to get me to move there.  She is flying me out so I can
physically check the place and her out.  See exactly what the housing she
offers is and what kind of schedule she keeps.  This way I can make an
informed decision on if I want to move there or not.  Yes I will take
advantage of being there to try to clear out my head a bit as well.  I will
be able to ride on lots of acres of trails etc.  I want to meet up with the
WA rec.scuba contingency if possible.  But the actual reason she is flying
me there is not for a vacation.  It is to convince me that I want to move
there and work for her.

Well absolutely.  And I have talked to them in depth about this before
making the decision to go.  I wasn't going to - being Ms. Responsible - but
after a lot of talking and searching I think this is a good idea.  They have
my cell phone numbers and know they can call me at anytime and I of course
will be calling them.  They will be staying with people who will take great
care of them -- and there will be lots of other kids around etc.  I think
this will be a good "time off" for them as well.
