Hello!
I'm considering taking some time off work and enjoying my youth.
I am looking for information on Dive Schools that might be looking for
gophers to help crew livaboards or day boats or just do the boring
jobs that no one else wants to do in return for lodging and training.
I'm sure that I'm not the only one with this sort of idea - anyone
ever done such a thing or looking for gophers?
Thanks,
Ciaran

Yup, it's called whoring out.
Start at a lds, that you like.
Part time then go from there.
Keep your day job.
Boat, reg and compressor repair / maintance.
With DM / entertainer, first aid, Dan O2 as back pocket items.
Learn to be funny and keep your big fat mouth shut.
Will get you in the door much faster than teaching.
Teachers are a dime a dozen.
In sport diving.
I'm working on the last one.

I had a similar inclination many years ago... I joined the Navy... I
got lodging, training, a lot of boring jobs, and fun with a lot of
strange women in strange ports...
Oh... And beer... Must not forget the beer...

Steward seems pretty boring. Duties include making beds, serving
meals, doing dishes, etc. You don't even have to know how to dive.
