Can someone up there recommend a 6 pack type charter? The guy I used and
liked is in the Canadian Army, and got posted overseas. I'd also like to
hear about the "must do" dives. We've done Jodery, Gaskin, and Lillie
Parsons.

I've forwarded your request to a friend of mine who dives the area with
former rec.scuban Robert Wood.

I had to bail out of Cowtown a couple of days early and come home.
Them's the breaks.

The Keystorm is on the US side, which is a lot more difficult to get
to these days, so not all charters will go there. It ripped out its
guts on a shoal, and now lies with her bow about 30' from the surface
and stern resting at 115'. She's almost vertical. If you get a day
with good viz, it's an impressive site & sight.
The Iroquois is on the St Lawrence, and sank in 1793. It's kinda
amazing to see something that old. All that's left are her ribs.
The Eastcliffe Hall is a Great Lakes ship that sank in the 1970s after
her drunk captain ran her into the both sides of the channel. Fast
current.
You could try Abucs charters, run by Helen Cooper, 1-877-982-2827,

Bottom Time charters are also in Brockville,
http://www.bottomtimecharters.com/ although I haven't dived with them.
Ditto with Above and Below, http://www.abovenbelow.com/index.htm, and
Island Diver, http://islanddiver.ca/dives.cfm.
This website gives you a list of charters:

Robert Wood's page has a lot of info: http://www.magma.ca/~rgwood/

Hi Al. You'll want to dive the wreck of the O'Conto which is about one mile
upstream of the jod. In tact and penetrable. It sits in 190'-206' of water.
Fairly easy north wall stationary deco depending on current that day. (call Wayne
Green @ 613-530-0632 or 613-659-3943; 1-866-659-2334)
Another great dive is to drift dive the Brockville narrows sweeping from the
north wall ripping across the bottom to south wall. It's an easy deco along the
continuous southern wall with numerous islands to pop up at. Max depth is about
196'; average depth is around 160ish. Tons of stuff like huge anchors from ships
of long ago; you can drift past a few so-so wrecks and so on. (Tom @ Underwhere
Charters 613-349-7343)
Another cool dive is the Peace Bridge (shore entry or boat drift). It has a
plague commemorating some dead diver dude, at the northern footing (180' or so).
From there, drift dive from the peace bridge's northern footing along the northern
wall, its a blast. Hopefully if the current is strong, you'll come upon a cool
underwater waterfall that'll send your a.s plummeting to just shy of 240'.
Nothing really extravagant to see but what a freaken rush!.
I'll be mix diving up there from Aug. 20, to Aug 30. We (8 of us) have an
itinerary to drift dive 4 passages in the 240'-310' range just to see what's
there. We'll probably end up doing some of the touristy wrecks like the Jodrey
etc. just for the hell of it. Have fun, and safe diving.
