I finished reading the book a little over a week ago and have spent a good
deal of time trying to decide exactly what I wanted to say in my review.
Also, I've enjoyed conversing with him and didn't want to run him off just
yet. However, I've grown tired of my toy, and I'm ready to put it away, so
here goes. I wrote a couple of different versions, and finally decided that
the best option would be the KISS method.
The book has a lot of stories. Some made me smile. Others made me pity the
author. What the book does best is highlight the authors lack of judgment.
It also gives some suggestions that would probably be fairly useful to a
beginning pilot. The writing is fairly straightforward and easy to read,
but it's also quite boring. Much of the book reads like a commercial. I
have a few recommendations such as learn how to use transitions, leave out
the brand names unless they are crucial to the development or comparisons of
come sort, and try not to make yourself look like such a fool. Taking all
of that into account, I'd say that the book does have some value. To
someone who is seriously considering joining the ranks of PPG pilots and who
has no common sense, I'd say that this book *may* be worth $25. For the
rest of us, I'd say that the value wouldn't top more than $4.25. IF the
book were hardbound, I might be willing to extend that to $15.

I have. By the way, in case anyone is interested, the price of the book on
Amazon has gone up to $30.

Probably because the 4 or 5 copies he sent out here increased his
distribution enormously.

Prolly figgers he'll recoup the loss of the four freebies in the next tax
year. Of course, he's forgetting that sales will go *down* from 20 a year
due to the increase. ;)

It has shown up; marked the review as 'useful'.
FWIW, the book's other reviewer doesn't appear to be a sock puppet:
